#originalsong #songwriter #singer #music #inspiration #nonprofit #nevergiveup #riseup #liveyourbestlife #goforit I wrote an anthem for a non-profit I started in 2011. It still resonates and fills my heart with the same passion to do the things for which I feel this life was gifted to me... to use my experience and victories to shape the future of those who shall encounter similar challenges and strife as I've had to overcome through different stages of my life. Often, we feel ashamed of the times we stumble and lose balance. Those are the moments when we decide whether to commit to rising against all that stands in our way or to give up. There are not many who will stand by us in those inglorious downfalls. But if we realize that life has no single podium where a victor shall stand undefeated forever, and not every day can be spent celebrating without having to do the work required to surmount the odds, we can focus on the ordinary moments when we shall get most acquainted with the character of our soul. It's when no one is watching that we decide the fate of our trials: Will we withstand every blow and remain standing, well after most would have given up? Here's to those who strive and never give up. Rise... Rise... Rise... Rise like a phoenix Blaze a trail Rise from the ashes Live to tell the tale - (2) Go where no soul has ventured Lead like you mean to win Lone at first, it may so seem The farther from home you dream Rise... Rise... Rise... Rise like a phoenix Blaze a trail Rise from the ashes Live to tell the tale - (2) Seldom known... Seldom told... Stories of greatness beyond the grave Be the one that counts Climb up the mounts Make a difference Break all your bounds Rise... Rise... Rise... Rise like a phoenix Blaze a trail Rise from the ashes Live to tell the tale - (2) © 2011-2023 Tom Thudiyanplackal. All Rights Reserved. https://lnkd.in/gwgMZWHb https://lnkd.in/gVSudAbB

👋🏻 I’m organising run to raise money for Help Musicians Charity. The idea is that on Sunday, July 14th there’ll be a relay of musicians (or anyone with running shoes) running around the 78miles of the Capital Ring route. Entry Fee will be a donation to a justgiving page and you can sign up to any section of the route that works for you. In this pdf there’s details on each section of the route (with links to maps/extra info) as well as links to the Google spreadsheet to sign up for a bit of it that works for you (and the justgiving page). The shortest section is 3.9miles, the longest 7.8miles and we’d be aiming for roughly a 10min mile pace. The more the merrier! If you can’t access the spreadsheet get in touch with me directly and I can add your name for you. Why Help Musicians? As a freelancer the biggest worry is that not working = not earning. In 2018 I had a stroke which left me unable to work at all for over three months. Help Musicians supported me financially through this period which allowed me to return to work as soon as I was able. Post stroke I struggled with anxiety- the feeling that my body had let me down left me panicking that it would happen again at any minute (which wasn’t helpful when performing). Help Musicians facilitated therapy sessions for me to work through that and allowed me to return to work with a healthy mindset. They support musicians at times when life doesn’t go to plan and are a vital part of returning them to a place of making music as a living. 🫶🏻

Communications professional ultimately responsible for Counter Context and Altitude PR. Advocate for Sheffield and South Yorkshire. President of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry (2024-2026)
Why singing is my first and unexpected priority as President of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce. If Sheffield is to achieve its full potential then I think collaboration is key. For me, true collaboration is when someone elses priorities become yours. That's why I've said to Charles Turner DL that one of my first tasks would be to support and promote his 2024 Master Cutlers Challenge here in Sheffield. Over the next 6-7 months, the Challenge will be raising money for the Sheffield Cathedral Church Schools Singing Programme (SCSSP). Details here: https://lnkd.in/e79brvqr I think there is something quite powerful in the The Company of Cutlers in Hallamshire (The Voice of Manufacturing in Sheffield & South Yorkshire) raising money for a school singing programme, whilst being actively supported by another business representative organisation in the city. It's not the first topic that comes to mind when you think business but on reflection its a great cause. Despite being petrified of karaoke, I can see how singing is so important in business and helps with health and wellbeing. Singing builds confidence. Confidence all of us need if we ever plan on leading, pitching, selling or doing pretty much anything in the modern economy. Also - who doesn't feel better after a good old sing-song? So if you are based in Sheffield, or even not, I have 2 quick asks: 1. Visit https://lnkd.in/e79brvqr to find out more about the Challenge and registered to get involved directly. 2. Help Sheffield Chamber of Commerce with some fundraising ideas that would grab your attention and get you involved. Drop your ideas in the comments below. The challenge is entrepreneurial. Each participating organisation gets £50 to use to invest in fundraising activity. With enough Chamber members clubbing together there is the potential to raise the roof*. Extra marks for keeping your suggestions simple. The Chamber team are hugely busy. Super extra marks for volunteering to help with what comes next and to get as many kids in Sheffield singing from the roof tops*. *all puns intentional

Here are some places your business could expand its reach that you may not be thinking about.👌 Local sports teams/events - Sponsorship can get your name in front of audiences through signage, swag, and mentions. Great for businesses serving those communities. 👍 Places of worship - Ask about promoting relevant services/classes to congregations through bulletins, emails, and event boards. Local radio - Consider underwriting a community program or public station. Mentioning your business regularly boosts name recognition. Nextdoor also can be a great place. Additional ideas: Schools, coffee shops, music venues, alma maters, retiree associations, local podcasts/newsletters, chamber of commerce, charity/non-profit events. #ConnectWithCommunity #LocalSportsTeams #LocalEvents #SponsorshipOpportunities #PlacesOfWorship #LocalRadioAdvertisement

No doubt that tents are a big issue for festivals, alongside the general waste and recycling challenges. ⛺ ♻ But a new(ish) challenge for festivals are waste vapes [millions of them] and other FastTech electricals like power banks and mini-fans. We have produced a guide on what festivals need to know and what they can do to help manage these challenges. To read the guide click https://lnkd.in/gTUZDMdw And for more on the rising challenges posed by FastTech click https://lnkd.in/eWmXmVTp
More than 250,000 tents are abandoned at UK music festivals each year. A typical four-person tent can use as much plastic as nearly 9,000 plastic straws or 22 Coldplay LPs! Because they’re incredibly difficult to recycle, most abandoned tents are destined for landfill or incineration if they can’t be re-used or donated to charities. https://lnkd.in/e7ZvJPuP

Empowering new business entrepreneurs and small businesses to meet their business goals by focusing on B2B communications. Digital Marketing Consultant | Social Media Management | Email Marketing | Communications Focus
Read my post below to learn a little more about me - and the explanation behind this photo (taken in 2013). https://lnkd.in/gibhVY3v
This week marks the start of Glastonbury Festival week. Being just a half hour from the festival means that we get to see the change in cars and visitors passing through on the way. the spotting of a sticker in a window and next week, the wristbands. 🎉 What you may not know about me is that I used to steward at Glastonbury (and other festivals) on behalf of Oxfam. In return, the charity would receive a donation from the festival organiser. (See photo from the 'early days') One of my absolute passions is live music. I love the atmosphere, and the excitement and think how the performers must feel in front of all those people (Rag n Bone Man at Glastonbury was one clear memory!) There's no doubt, that no matter how you do it, GIVING BACK is rewarding. Whether a charity, a business or a service that I can recommend to others. I love the lush feeling of supporting someone else to move towards their goals! So a thank you to those who have enjoyed part or the whole journey with me. 😀 No matter what the role, a huge thank you to everyone for your continued support. It means the world 😀 PS. I like to think my festival 'style' has improved with age 🤣 #thankyou #freelancer #marketing #somerset #stewarding #helpingcharity

Event Creator for Founders and Investors 🔸 The Femme Table 🔸 High-stake events & cutting-edge experiences 🔸 From Vegas parties to Parisian soirées to global summits 🔸 Always seeking adventure
So how do you book a VIP experience with a notable artist? I will share my insider strategy from working in the VIP experience industry: 1️⃣ If you’re new to booking high-profile talent and have a healthy budget, then I recommend reaching out to a reputable talent agency like CAA or WME. However, they won’t work with everyone they have a pretty hefty service fee, but you’ll be shelling out a good amount of money anyway. (If you DM me with your needs, I’ll recommend a few other agencies that are trustworthy and might be more open to liaising talent.) 2️⃣ A savvier and maybe less expensive way is this: Research to find if the artist supports any charities or has a charitable arm in their business. Then reach out directly to that charity to see if you could donate to their organization in exchange for an opportunity to meet the celeb. ACLU and similar charities are great for this because they have great connections with celebs who want to support their organization. So not only will you be engaging in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but you’ll be supporting a charity while you do it! Win-win! 🙌 Unfortunately, your “donation” might not be tax deductible because it’s in exchange for an opportunity but you should consult your tax advisor. 3️⃣ What is my strategy for booking VIP experiences? Well, I’ve been working in the entertainment and events industry for a long time and have acquired insider contacts along the way. One of my favorite insiders is my old colleague and friend Anthony Q. C.. Anthony was the VP of Music at IfOnly and was the reason we had access to all of the high-profile artists like Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and so many more. My favorite program of his that I got to work on was the meet and greets with the Rolling Stones! Doesn't get much bigger than that. He also always puts me in my place when I have a client with big dreams but maybe not a big enough budget. Thanks, Anthony! 🙏 😂
