Have you ever thought about the amazing journey that turned Tanishq into the respected brand it is today? Once upon a time, in India, there was a dream that mixed tradition and new ideas. It was started by the Tata Group, a big company that believed in doing good business. Starting in 1994, Tanishq wanted to celebrate India's traditional craftsmanship while also being modern. But it wasn't easy. Back then, the jewelry industry was split, with old ways often winning over new ideas. Tanishq faced doubt and pushback from established companies who didn't want to change. Gaining trust from customers was hard. In a market where people doubted what was real, Tanishq had to work hard to prove they were honest. They overcame this challenge by prioritizing transparency and integrity in their business practices, implementing stringent quality control measures and certifications to assure customers of the purity and authenticity of their jewelry. Another challenge was getting raw materials in a way that was good for the environment and fair to workers. Tanishq cared about this and worked with suppliers who followed the rules. Also, being a traditional brand, Tanishq had to find a way to mix old and new. Some people didn't like modern takes on old designs. But Tanishq kept trying new things, mixing old techniques with new ideas. Through hard work and sticking to their values, Tanishq went from a small company to a big name known for quality and trust. Today, their early struggles show how much they've grown, making them a leader in the jewelry world. Inspired by Indian culture, Tanishq artisans made each piece with care, blending tradition and new ideas. Each design had a story – of love, of joy, of family history. As Tanishq grew, they kept caring about doing things right, making sure every gemstone was sourced responsibly and every worker was treated well. This became a big part of who they are. Bringing in a Head of Brand could be the game-changer Mellerio needs to maintain the house values, structure an omnichannel approach, secure prospects and re-engage clients.
