Testing flexible scopes for light transmission? It's possible! The expression no light, no sight is a frequently heard expression for specialists who perform endoscopic interventions in their daily work. It will therefore not surprise you that a large part of the problems with vision during these endoscopic interventions can be found in a problem with the light transmission in the instrument. From now on, flexible endoscopes can also be tested for light transmission, so that they can be sent for assessment and repair in a timely manner (well before the start of a patient procedure).

Previous X-ray systems could not or only incompletely fulfill your inspection task? Whenever a defect or an object to be detected is only slightly or not at all separated from the inspection object in terms of density, this is a challenge for X-ray inspection systems. This is where dual energy X-ray methods offer new possibilities. Dual energy X-ray systems are used, for example, in the field of baggage inspection, medical diagnostics or food inspection and are based on a common principle: the atomic number dependence of the energy-dependent attenuation coefficient is used to generate material-specific X-ray images. Typically, two images are taken at different average X-ray energies ("low" and "high"). IMS offers dual energy X-ray inspection systems tailored to your needs, which can be seamlessly integrated into ongoing operations. Starting with your idea for an inspection or measurement task, through component selection and the detailed determination of the necessary setting parameters, to the design and implementation of your customized X-ray inspection system, the experts at IMS Röntgensysteme will support you. Discover new possibilities and leave the beaten track, replace your considerations with sound knowledge: https://lnkd.in/eXK2WacT

So many options…how do you choose what compression works for your patient?
Educational YouTube Channel for wound care clinicians. Elizabeth Faust and Frank Aviles offer educational bits and sponsored episodes to spread education and eduaction to the wound care community #frankandlizzieshow
The application of compression to VLU and lymphedema patients requires skill and competency of the clinician. I'm hosting a "Wrap Party", using technology, to validate what I'm often asked about various types of compression. Stay tune for results and I may be in your neck of the woods hosting my Wrap Party!!! Did You Know? RECOM Power has launched new cost-effective DC/DCs with the highest level of medical isolation in through-hole and SMD formats. The REM2A and REM4A series rated 2W and 4W respectively, boast ‘reinforced’ 5kVAC/1 min isolation and 2MOPP rating at 250VAC with more than 8mm creepage and clearance. The parts also suit B, BF, and CF patient connect applications with their low 2µA leakage current. The DC/DCs are available with 2:1 inputs: 4.5-12V, 9-18V, 18-36V, or 36-75VDC. Fixed, fully regulated DC outputs are: 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 24V, +/-5V, +/-12V, and +/-15VDC, also 3.3V in the REM2A series. The REM2A operates over ambient temperatures of -40°C to +90°C while the REM4A operates from -40°C to +80°C, both without derating at nominal inputs. With airflow or derating, the parts operate to +105°C ambient. For more information on RECOM Power products, contact LuscomBridge at info@luscombridge.com #power #wideinput

Tape measures are super handy for measuring twice before you cut once, but they're not the best tool for measuring irradiance. In fact, the tape measure / photo meter combination that some of our competitors use to measure irradiance simply does not deliver accurate results. That's why TheraBulb subjects our bulbs to testing in an independent ISO-certified laboratory. To learn more about irradiance and why lab testing matters, review our irradiance blog post.
