Many of you have wondered about replacing the energy created by Lower Snake dams. The recent agreement among the U.S. Government, Washington, Oregon and sovereign nation Tribes will facilitate the buildout of at least 1 GW to 3 GW of tribally sponsored clean energy capacity. "Under the agreement, the U.S. Departments of Energy and Agriculture will work with the Tribes to provide technical assistance, planning and funding for whatever role Tribes want to take with regards to renewables projects, such as “individual or collective ownership, leasing, power procurement, etc.” Read more about the renewable energy development here https://bit.ly/49gFFgR

Legislative Aide - City of White Plains Common Council | PMP, Data Analytics, Operations Analysis, Project Management, PMO
In the #projectmanagement literature - permitting is overly documented as the longest lead item on any project. Streamlining the permitting process for new #renewables installations is advisable, though a very sane and thorough approach that does not eliminate necessary environmental reviews or community benefits calculations is required. There is much more to say about this, but it is truly a topic for an entire convention. #megaprojects Project Management Institute Tableau American Clean Power Association (ACP) Alliance for Clean Energy New York Oceantic Network OSW Supply Chain NYSERDA New York Power Authority National Supplier Diversity Institute
ACP has long advocated for comprehensive permitting reform. The Energy Permitting Reform Act from Senators Joe Manchin (I-WV) and John Barrasso (R-WY) will help our nation meet the growing demand for electricity, deploy transmission lines to deliver clean, reliable power, and strengthen American energy security. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) has introduced the Renewable Roadsides Act, legislation which aims to start the process of transforming landscapes alongside federal highways to house increased solar energy infrastructure. The bill would direct the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to study the feasibility of developing solar energy generation and storage facilities, as well as electrical transmission and distribution infrastructure, on land adjacent to federal highways. EPCs, MEES and the Future of Energy Performance – Part 2 (England and Wales) Part 2 of our series on energy performance in England and Wales focuses on Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES), brought in by the Energy Efficiency (Private Rented Property) (England and Wales) Regulations 2015. MEES requires properties to have an EPC rating of 'E' or above to be let. Exemptions to this rule exist but are specific, non-transferable, and time-limited, often requiring documentation and local authority notifications. Our article explains the exemptions, the process for registering them, and the necessary improvements for properties rating ‘F’ or ‘G’. We also explore how the future of energy performance assessments will focus more on carbon emissions than just energy efficiency, with modern technologies like heat pumps and renewables likely to improve EPC ratings. https://lnkd.in/e7WcdzjM
