My vision for Winston-Salem is to make our best moments this moment, not in the past. We can unleash explosive growth in this city through some key strategic initiatives;
— Elect a new mayor and recruit proactive economic developers that are laser focused on creating jobs and boosting economic mobility.
— Reinvigorate downtown by restructuring the Downtown Winston-Salem Partnership with fresh leadership, creating new jobs in the CBD, reducing crime, and better supporting unhoused residents.
— Boost social capital by welcoming more diverse voices to community conversations.
— Refocus on supporting and growing small businesses, which are the backbone of this city.
— Improve access to existing county, city, and community college programs.
— Invest in long term sustainable infrastructure; schools, airport, roads, and public transit.
— Boost retention of talented young professionals graduating from nearby universities. We do this by delivering an amenities package and quality of life that’s on par with our neighbors in Raleigh and Charlotte.
Will I have your support?

In a recent The New York Times article highlighting the impact of #OpportunityZone, our co-founder Max Grelier shared that we are in the midst of an incredible project in a Qualified Opportunity Zone: redeveloping a 140-acre former mall into a dynamic affinity district.
The #OpportunityZone initiative has truly accelerated growth in Huntsville. We've seen an unprecedented surge in construction, with 24,000 multifamily units added in just three years across the city.
At RCP, we're proud to be part of Huntsville's growth story. The Opportunity Zone program has been a catalyst, accelerated by the tax incentive and attracting early on, allowing us to bring ambitious projects to life that contribute to our city's vibrant future. A great example of how policy can shape our urban landscapes.
While the effectiveness of Opportunity Zones varies across the country, Huntsville's story demonstrates their potential to catalyze growth in the right conditions.
What are your thoughts on Opportunity Zones? Have you seen similar impacts in your area?

No surprise here! This is the place to be.
I met with a number of prospects last week at the JEC Composites show. At this event, we focused on European-based companies. This targeted prospect group, with prearranged meetings, included 20 German companies.
Virtually all of the CEOs that I met with were surprised to learn that there are direct non-stop flights from Munich and Frankfurt to Charlotte.
And, pleasantly surprised to learn that Lancaster County, South Carolina…part of the Charlotte Metro…is home to one of the rare BUSINESS INCUBATORS in the region…one that focuses on helping foreign companies to get started in the United States…whether the need is for a sales office, a distribution and storage facility, or even an assembly or light manufacturing operation. Their services include accounting, payroll, tax filings, and more. Startup Factory USA also has the experienced third-party legal and other connections one might require.

So, more good growth is to be expected.

The QC surpassed #2 Denver, #3 Nashville, #4 New York City, and #5 Jacksonville on the top 5 list of most moved-to big cities in the US! Even though the word is clearly out about this not-so-hidden gem, Charlotte still has a small(er)-town feel, reasonable commute times, and offers tremendous opportunity and earning potential relative to the cost of living.

Hurricanes like Helene happen naturally, but was this the case here?
Apparently Asheville is a lithium and precious minerals resource with HUGE resources yet to be mined.
And now we are seeing blocked access to Asheville from citizens to bring in aide, while offers to buy properties for cash are apparently also being solicited there.
And FEMA is out of money and apparently is telling citizens you will be arrested if you come try to help!
If you ask me, the coincidences are too many. Even if the hurricane was natural and not impacted or produced by weather modification tech, how is everything else explained or rationalized?

This! Portland should focus on this instead of listening to out of state land owners who refuse to adapt to the new normal. Instead of listening to the whiny commercial building owners complain about teleworking we should focus on building communities that support local business and affordable housing 24/7! Thousands of square feet available, plenty of jobs downtown, affordable housing via adaptive reuse seems like a win win if we replaced the housing that was one prominent in an area of need. It just seems like the easiest solution is often ignored when the elite have to maybe make an effort.
Excited to share some insights on why Birmingham, Michigan is such an appealing place to call home! 🏡 Nestled just northwest of Detroit, this affluent suburb offers the perfect blend of suburban tranquility and urban amenities.
What I love about Birmingham is its strong community bonds, with numerous events throughout the year that bring everyone together. And let's not forget about the top-notch education provided by Birmingham Public Schools - a big draw for families. 📚✨
Residents enjoy walking-friendly neighborhoods, a downtown bustling with shops and eateries, and beautiful green parks ideal for relaxing on a sunny day. Moreover, safety and a strong local economy add to the city's charm.
Like all places, there are trade-offs. The cost of living here is on the higher side but what you get in return—safety, community, and quality of life—often outweighs that. If you're contemplating a move or looking for a vibrant community in Michigan, Birmingham definitely deserves a spot on your list. 🌳🏠💼
