WORKING IN NON-PROFIT.2 [DAY ONE COMPLETE! Today was a quiet day. A day of getting started and setting up systems to get going! Just like how it is written in Ecclesiastes there is a time for for everything, a time to be happy and a time to be sad - today felt like one of those days. What I mean by this is that I was so happy, I am finally in a job, entered a field of work that I had been praying for quite a while!! A big organisation or not, a well-known mission or not, located in the heart of London along with the hustle and bustle or not, these factors were meaningless for all that I had been praying for was a step into Christian mission. Having studied theology and biblical studies and wanting a role that directly affects believers of Christ today, that’s all I wanted. And here I am …finally! Thank the Lord alone! One step in the right direction, that’s all one needs. So, what happened on day one? Getting Familiar: -tour of the office, which is actually inside a Church! - health and safety check (which a must obviously). - familiarising with my desk area 💻 The Set-Up: - new laptop and phone were handed over. - logged onto as many different applications as I could during my short first day. checked if all the password were legit, as there a few passwords that were really long, some very complicated and others just plain random!] To continue, please click the link below for the full post: https://lnkd.in/e-gEA7BD #charitywork #nonprofit #nonprofitleadership #newjob #newblogpost

2.13.24 LET NOT THE HURT AND DISAPPOINTMENT BROUGHT BY THE NON-RECOGNITION AND NON-APPRECIATION OF WHATEVER GOOD WE HAVE DONE HINDER US FROM DOING WHAT IS RIGHT AND DO WHATEVER IS EXPECTED OF US TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITIES. INSTEAD, LET THE SEEMING LACK OF GRATEFULNESS FROM THE PEOPLE WE SERVE BE A GREATER MOTIVATION FOR US TO DO MORE THAN WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM US. Lord, you've always called us to be good, to serve to the best of our abilities and perform acts of charity for our brethrens who are need and are suffering due life difficulties. Despite all these, there are times we find our good deeds unappreciated by the people who are the beneficiaries of what we did. We are hurt and feel disappointed by the lack of recognition we feel we deserve. Dear God, as we answer your call, and as we perform our good deeds, may we do it with sincere motivation and for good reasons. Shield us from the temptation of self promotion and aggrandizement. Let our actions be not about us, let it about others and You. While we graciously aknowledge the appreciation that people give for what we have done, may we be humble enough to accept that people may not thank us for what we have done. Let not the hurt and disaappoint brought by the non-appreciation and non-recognition of what we have done hinder us from doing what is good and do whatever is expected of us to the of our abilities. Instead, let the seeming lack of gratitude be a motivation for us to do more good than what is expected of us.

National Road Victim Month is a time to reflect on the importance of road safety and the impact of road traffic accidents on individuals, families, and communities. Simple actions such as wearing seat belts, obeying speed limits, avoiding distractions, and never driving under the influence can save lives. Employers can also play a role by promoting road safety practices among employees, especially those who drive as part of their work. Let’s work together to create safer roads and reduce the risk of accidents. #stepsfoundationinc #samismyreason #lifeskills #osceolacounty #kissimmeeflorida #kissimmeefl #saintcloud #saintcloudfl #saintcloudflorida #stcloudfl #stcloud #stcloudflorida #poincianaflorida #poincianafl #celebrationflorida #celebrationfl #nonprofit #nonprofitorganization #ipledgetomakeadifference #nationalroadvictimmonth

Oh wow, this photo speaks volumes to the pressure and intense moments firefighters are put in. WOW. Thank you all for your service! "Full steam ahead! ♨️ How hot does it get in a structure fire? Despite what you have seen in the movies, firefighters will always stay low and crawl in a fire. Because heat rises, the hottest area in an enclosed space will be the ceiling. Firefighters aren’t directly exposed to those temperatures at the ceiling, (which can quickly rise to over 1,000 degrees) but even at 200-300 degrees, that puts a ton of stress on the firefighters. The temperature inside the turnouts can be up to 160 degrees! During a fire, a “rehab area” is set up. In most departments, when working at a fire, once a firefighter goes through a certain amount of air bottles they must go to the firefighter rehab area. This procedure is put in place to protect firefighters from overheating. It allows a chance to cool off, rest and get some water so that they can go back to work without getting themselves or someone else hurt." . Source: calfiresandiego . The Common Ground Alliance (CGA), is a national non-profit trade association dedicated to protecting underground utility lines, excavators, and their communities. The recent DIRT REPORT has shown that damages have been increasing year over year. These trends are disturbing for our industry, and I believe that this number is actually low. We have received countless calls “after the fact” from excavators. They always go like this: “We hit a utility line. Can you send a locator? At Frontier, we understand the importance of getting utility locates completed before your project starts. An initial call to Ontario One Call will inform all participating Utility Service Providers of your intention to dig. This will take care of your Public Locates. A second call to a Private Locate company, like Frontier, will get your private locates completed. Voilà! Once you have reports in your hands, you are ready to go and most importantly, you will be SAFE! CALL BEFORE YOU DIG. #damageprevention #callbeforeyoudig #undergroundutilities #callfrontier #frontierutilitylocating #frontierlocating #getyourlocatesdone #utilitylocating #whatisinyourbackyard #safetyfirst #utilitymapping #privatelocates #privatelocator

Something that is often overlooked is the significance of identifying compassionate employees. When you do come across an employee that is more than willing to help you and your situation, don't be intimidated to ask for their name or direct phone number. Having a direct line of communication with someone like this can make a world of a difference. We must have an eye for punishable behavior; however, it is also important to recognize and encourage the good behavior. 🌟 #InsuranceFraud #InsurerFraud #Policyholders #APA #Homeowners #Renovations #Contractors #FraudFighters #FightBack #NonProfits
