Such a joy to host this lovely group from University of Oxford Environmental Change Institute (ECI), University of Oxford onsite at Centre for Alternative Technology this week. They were so knowledgeable, engaged and enthusiastic about our work here at CAT - some of them said there is a need for CAT's in their home countries - they were a very international group - 25 students from pretty much 25 different countries so it is a good opportunity to talk not just about our work at CAT but about Wales and the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act The Office of the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales Derek Walker Sam Hampton Tyfu Canolbarth Cymru | Growing Mid Wales
We’ve had an animated week here at CAT as we welcomed students from University of Oxford on a residential fieldtrip to the heart of mid Wales. On Thursday, as part of the week’s activities, they braved the weather, heading into the hills to learn about the valley’s community wind turbines with Billy Langley from Bro Dyfi Community Renewables. It’s been great to see the students engage with a range of hands-on sustainability activities on site and beyond and we wish them a safe journey home this weekend.
