We're very proud to have helped fund the second Meeting of the Latin American Ranger Federation of Park Rangers in Cusco Peru! Words from The International Ranger Federation: After a week of intense work, on Sunday 12th of May took place the closing of the Second Meeting of the Latin American Ranger Federation (FLG) supported by the International Ranger Federation IRF). The Meeting was held at the CONAFOVICER facilities in Cusco, Peru and brought together 46 rangers from 10 Latin American countries. During the Meeting, the work of the ranger associations and unions that integrate the FLG was presented, as well as their achievements, their challenges, and experiences and sharing of lessons learned. Subsequently, the next steps were identified to legally formalize FLG as a Regional Federation, elections for the new board of FLG, a 5-year roadmap was developed and a declaration was drawn up which expresses the voice of the rangers in the Latin American region. The result of holding in-person ranger meeting is invaluable, as not only are good practices shared in favor of conservation, but the voice and identity of the profession is also strengthened by the regional ranger associations.
