I WILL NEVER BUY AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE!! This is the common reply I have received recently when there is so much success and technological breakthrough in the EV market. Exciting news has emerged in 2024, including XPENG G9's success in the NAF/Motor Winter EV Test and El Prix 2024's achievement of charging from 10-80% in just 19 minutes. While EV tech is getting more advanced, why are people still concerned about EVs? I have gathered three main concerns: 🔋 Battery degradation: Electric cars rely on lithium-ion batteries, which degrade over time and with use. As batteries lose their capacity to hold a charge, the range of the electric vehicle diminishes, reducing its appeal and resale value. 🔋 Technology Obsolescence: Electric vehicle technology is rapidly evolving, with new models featuring advancements in battery technology, range, and charging infrastructure. As a result, older electric car models may quickly become outdated, leading to faster depreciation compared to combustion cars, which have a more established and stable technology base. 🔋 End-of-Life Management: Proper disposal and recycling of EV batteries are essential to prevent environmental contamination and resource depletion. However, the current infrastructure for recycling EV batteries is limited, leading to concerns about potential waste management challenges in the future. Overall, the battery seems to be the biggest factor holding back some customers from switching to EVs. What are your thoughts on this and what other reasons do you think are stopping people from switching to EVs? #batterytechnology #ev #electriccars #electricvehicles

Which EV car had the best total battery score for 2023? As year-end is the time for rankings and lists, an interesting overview by Bloomberg. Total Battery Score: based on relative performance around two key metrics 1️⃣ Time it takes to charge 100 miles 2️⃣ Ratio of vehicle price to total range I'm surprised to see only 1 model from a traditional Western car maker in the top 10. Are you surprised by the ranking? And do you like the concept of total battery score? Share your vision and ideas in the comments below. #EV #mobility #innovation

Are you sure your EVs are utilised efficiently? | Partnerships Manager @ Volteum | Fleet optimization for electric cars and vans
🚗🔋Volkswagen Announces €20,000 EV for Europe by 2027: Is It Too Little, Too Late? 🚗🔋 Cost is still one of the major barriers in fleet electrification. Chinese brands already dominating the affordable EV segment. Will customers wait for the well-known brands to catch up in the 'economy' segment, or will they opt for cost-effective alternatives from the new competition? In my opinion, 2027 could really be the end of the line for customer patience regarding EV prices. By then multiple Chinese brands will have a proven track record, with affordable EVs. The market won't wait for those who are falling behind. VW can't let this project to be late, or to be less then perfect. 🚗 Join the Discussion: The Future of Electric Vehicles 🚗 The auto industry is evolving! In 2024, global electric vehicle sales are expected to exceed 17 million units, making up more than 20% of all car sales. This surge is fueled by competitive pricing, advancements in battery technology, and strong governmental support across various regions. 🌍 With China leading with nearly 60% of all new electric car registrations and countries like Norway reaching nearly 95% of new car sales as electric, the shift towards more sustainable automotive solutions is accelerating. 💡 The U.S. is also making significant strides, with substantial investments in EV charging infrastructure and battery components as part of a broader initiative to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. I'm interested to hear your thoughts: How do you see the future of electric vehicles? What changes or innovations do you think are necessary to support this transition? Since summer over 1,000 new EV charging stations have developed in the US. And there is a startup using old planes to make EV parts. It is understood that 7 out of 10 largest automakers by revenue globally have announced that they are working on 800-volt platforms & will be introduced to the mass market over the next few years. These days most of the EVs are based on 400-volt architecture. Now the 800-volt EV's charging time is twice as fast than the 400-volt unit. At times buyers aren't aware of this due to lack of technical knowledge. By 2030 EVs will represent over 50% or more of the vehicles sold globally, the charging infrastructure will have to be improved as well. At the moment in terms of EV sales & charging infrastructure China is leading. But with some recent foreign investments in the US with regard to developing EVs, we might have some positive news in the mid-term. #evs #electriccars #sustainability #lithium

In the next few decades, electric vehicles will replace the over 1 billion fossil fuel burning ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) vehicles in the world, and the tipping point for this transition to electric vehicles has already been achieved in many countries. Sooorya EV is gearing up to launch in India our purpose-built electric taxi for #ridehailing #ridesharing #employeetransport segments… “The countries that have now passed the EV tipping point account for two-thirds of the world’s auto sales. That still leaves large swaths of the global population behind the curve. Nevertheless, a tipping point may be approaching for India, Indonesia and Poland, significant auto markets where EVs have been on the rise. In South America, a major push underway by China’s BYD could provide the spark for widespread adoption beginning with Brazil. Applying this framework to the entire planet, the 5% EV tipping point was crossed in 2021. In the fourth quarter of 2023, fully electric cars accounted for roughly 12% of new cars soldworldwide. The same forces that drove so many car buyers to try their first electric model — falling battery prices, more chargers, better performance — continue to make EVs competitive in new markets.” Read more in this article by Tom Randall #electricvehicles #ev #evstartup #sooorya #soooryaev #evtippingpoint
