Do you know what is the most difficult part of working with people?  It is the ability to interpret and understand what they need. They may be keen on sharing their thoughts, but sometimes, we are not able to capture them. Well, Private Jet Coach is an academy FOR people, and we consistently strive to do this better. We have listened to market demand, composed of cabin crew who would like to transition into the corporate industry and existing professionals within this field. To begin, both profiles have different requirements. So, we analysed the words from past, present and future associates and we identified what can we do differently. The result is that Private Jet Coach is now able to offer a new and revised VIP flight attendant training program. Specifically this will encompass a wider range of know-how and skillsets that have been tailored to individual requirements, based on the feedback we received. We are specifically seeking participation from operators across various segments, including airlines, first job providers and Part 135 companies, and flight training organisations. How to become a airline pilot part 2 When I first wrote a short piece on becoming a airline pilot , I had no idea of the huge response and interest it would generate. So it became obvious to me there is a large gap in information for potential future pilots who may be considering a career in avaition. So I thought I should write a more detailed follow up, with the hope this will become more of a open forum where anybody can ask and answer any questions that will hopefully arise. Firstly, completing year 12 is a must if your ambition is to fly for an airline. You should also have an affinity for mathematics and physics. A university degree is not an Australian airline requirement, however with more and more young Australians moving to the USA to fly professionally , a degree can be very useful for future career pathways. After completing high school, your next step has a few options. 1 . Straight into a flying school (aero club) this can be a very quick way of getting into the industry at the grass roots level however you need to research the school and to see if it will fit your ambitions and needs . 2 . A University that offers a full flying curriculum and associated degree. This can be very useful as discussed for future career options . 3 . Cadet coarse. Some smaller airlines offer cadet coarses that offer’s potential employment at the successful completion of the coarse. This too can be advantageous in assisting you to get that first step up into the industry.However it may restrict your ability to move about the industry until your contract is completed. 4.Airforce , this is another option to consider however I believe you first passion in this area should be the airforce and not airline flying for this choice to be attractive. So after you have considered these options, next comes the big one. How do I pay for it? Luckily in Australia,aviation is now an approved coarse , so you can apply for different loan assists like HECS . Not all training facilities are eligible however , so this is a very important question to ask your potential training organisation. Even with cadet coarses , you will find the cost of training will be put back on yourself , so again the key here is to ask lots of questions. The future of the avation industry has never been better , that being said it’s not a easy path. If you choose to become a airline pilot you need to be very motivated, ambitious with a very strong belief in yourself . The need for future pilots has never been greater, and as a current 787 Captain I can honestly tell you I have never regretted my decision to enter this amazing industry.

I feel compelled to just let Corporate Flight Attendants know you are “not” CERTIFIED. Only Part 121 Commercial Flight Attendants are certified because they are “required” on the aircraft by the FAA. 19 or less seats there is no requirement for an egress trained person or anyone in the back of an aircraft on a private jet. The exception is the Gulfstream 550. You must be corporate specific egress trained by an “approved” 142 FAR curriculum for egress training with 10 or more PAX. And you are CPR/ AED certified. So if you have that you are a certified Corporate Flight Attendant remove that from your résumé. There is an egress training vendor for Business Aviation that says when you finish their training that you are certified, and that is only for "their training" ( it is an awesome training ) however... that does not mean that you are FAR/FAA certified. There is no such thing….. We are not certified because we are not most unfortunately required. I have been fighting this for years to get a FAR mandated that we are required & to be “corporate specific” egress trained. Susan C Friedenberg President & CEO Corporate Flight Attendant Training
