A great example to show that you can get closer to your career goal not just by following a linear path through one field. You get to accumulate experiences in variety of roles and it's certainly easier to manage your career growth if you work in an organisation that provides you the environment and available opportunities!

Register to be on NBAAs list of 135.299 Check Airmen. The Part 135 Subcommittee has developed a new registry where member operators and Part 135 check airmen can connect. This resource was developed in response to many Part 135 operators expressing difficulty in finding pilots who were authorized to perform the flight checking requirements of 135.299 of the FARs, a problem that became exponentially worse during COVID-19 work and travel restrictions. Operators who have authorization to use in-house check airmen can give back to the Part 135 community by encouraging their employees to conduct these flight checks for other operators who may not have the same authorizations. NBAA urges check airmen to sign up and provide contact information for operators seeking their assistance. Operators who are seeking to utilize this resource should check the landing page and save it for future reference. This is a great opportunity for check airmen to offer there services and for operators to get the necessary training. For operators unsure about using another operator’s check airman, FAA Order 8900, Volume 3, Chapter 20, Section 6, Paragraph 3-2-6-23 provides guidance for you and your POI on obtaining this approval. https://lnkd.in/gYiviH2N

Correct but bit late for damage control. We've all seen the images and I guarantee Delta has lost and will continue to lose passengers. My company handles PR and Reputation Management for numerous global carriers where this type of practice would never be tolerated. Crisis Management is essential in any PR strategy, but the fact that political allegiances were allowed for cabin staff is simply unacceptable. Jointly hosted together with the The Honourable Company Of Air Pilots, the evening will commence at 7.00pm with a welcome reception in the Churchill Bar, followed by a three-course dinner in the Sovereigns’ room. The Young Aviators Dinner has a continued interest to inspire and support young members from any background in the UK to pursue a career as a military or civilian pilot, or similar roles within the UK’s aviation and aerospace industries. This is a unique event for those looking at a career within aviation and aerospace and gives members of both organisations the opportunity to network and meet airline and military recruiters and representatives. We will welcome recruitment representatives and flight operation representatives from various airlines and the military. The format of seating arrangements has been improved this year with a new system placing those with similar desired career paths together, with the aim of sparking productive conversation and advice. Each table will feature an experienced representative of a different area of aviation, including commercial, cargo, general aviation, air traffic control, and ground operations. When registering attendance, Members are required to choose their preferred table. Tickets are now available for Members of both the Air League and the Honourable Company of Air Pilots, priced at £55 each. Members are entitled to bring on guest each, priced at £65 each.
