Today is the Spring Equinox. 5000 years ago, Irish growers had a test that used sunlight to detect this vital moment in the farming calendar. Today, the "NEN Test" enables growers to compare the growing light transmitted through the various climate screens on the market. It means that when growers ask for NEN 2675+C1 results, they can know just how much growing light will penetrate through an energy or diffusion screen to the crop canopy below. The test was developed by the University of Wageningen and later used to benchmark the market-leading light transmittance of the Svensson Luxous screen.
