A few days ago, the webinar organised by the FlexCommunity.eu platform took place. This event brought together several European projects, including FLEX4FACT Project, with the aim of exploring strategies to reduce energy consumption through industrial flexibilisation. 💼🌍 Fundamental concepts of energy flexibility were addressed and commonalities between the different projects of the platform were identified. Oslo kommune partners with NODES to drive energy flexibility ⚡ We are excited to share that Oslo Municipality has taken a pioneering step towards a smarter and more sustainable energy future by launching a grant program to support participation in the flexibility market. Through this initiative, building owners and aggregators can reduce their energy consumption during peak demand periods, contributing to the stabilisation of the grid. As part of the Euroflex project, NODES has been working with Elvia and Oslo Municipality to enable the integration of flexible energy loads into the market. This collaboration ensures that businesses not only optimise their energy use but also generate financial returns by offering their flexibility to grid operators 🤝🏼 The program underscores Oslo’s commitment to electrification and climate action, with flexibility playing a key role in balancing the increasing demands on the grid as the city moves towards its 2030 climate goals. By leveraging NODES’ market platform, Oslo is setting an example for other municipalities, demonstrating how energy flexibility can unlock grid capacity and support large-scale electrification. This partnership is a powerful case of how public and private entities can work together to create more resilient, efficient, and sustainable energy systems.
