Call for Candidates for four #Directors https://lnkd.in/dn7Azgiv The call for #candidates for four EOSC-A Board of Director positions has been launched for the 2024 elections, which will take place during the 9th General Assembly of the #EOSC Association. The terms of three EOSC-A Directors are concluding (with one of these eligible to stand for re-election), and a fourth vacancy has arisen prematurely due to the December 2023 passing of Director Sarah Jones. Sarah’s position will initially be filled on a one-year interim basis. Members interested in potentially serving on the Board for either four years (one + three) or six years (three + three) are encouraged to apply for both the three-year and one-year term options. Currently there is a need for Directors with specific skills, including #political insight, #policy expertise, and relevant #technological know-how, which would best serve to continue the ongoing work of the Board. The full requirements and a description of the role of EOSC-A Directors can be found here: https://lnkd.in/d6vDXwup You can download the call text at this link: https://lnkd.in/dNKq-AFR

Chief Justice T.S. Sivagnanam and Justice H. Bhattacharyya, of the High Court of Calcutta, hear a petition seeking directions for the State Election Commission to install CCTV cameras at every polling booth, and accept nomination papers online, among other requests. The court opined that the State Election Commission cannot alter the fixed date for the election. It can, however, on sufficient reasons, consider extending the date of completion of any election without interfering with the fixed date of elections. The court cannot direct the Commission to accept online filings as reforms in the electoral process must have legislative backing. Moreover, it is not practically feasible to install CCTV cameras at all polling stations. However, the State Election Commission shall make necessary installations to ensure the preservation and custody of video footage. #SaturdaySpotlight #CCTV #onlinepapers #nomination #WestBengal #PanchayatElection #WritPetition #CalcuttaHighCourt #incyberblog #ElectoralProcess #Democracy #Elections #RightToVote

Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) is once again making history by championing gender equality in political power for the third consecutive time in the Indian mainland. With a resolute commitment to empowering women, NTK continues to pave the way towards a more inclusive and equitable society. Political cunsultancy firm interview question - what will be yours strategy in last 15 days before voting when you come to know that fight is 50-50.? I don't think political cunsultancy is any rocket science where strategy is prepared sitting in room presuming without having ground knowledge . We can not apply same strategy in each election as every election have different grounds . I suggest all political cunsultancy firm please do not judge any candidate on interview as there is no course or book which can give exact information or knowledge about how to manage election and if you think that managing election campaign can be done on any prior strategy then brother you should leave political cunsultancy . #politics #politicalcampaigns #indianpolitics #bjpgovernment #congress #consultingjobs #politicalconsulting #elections ShowTime Consulting I-PAC (Indian Political Action Committee) Leadtech Political Consulting Private Limited Political Consultancy

This piece by Yale's Alexia Dochnal is the best analysis of the dilemmas that Poland's newly elected government is facing. Thoughtful and thorough. And based on interviews with some of the main players in Poland itself. Must read!
Following the recent parliamentary elections, Poland’s new government faces the challenge of treating the wounds left by the former regime. The quest to restore civic freedoms and lawful standards is charged with complexity and dilemma. Based on interviews with Judge Igor Tuleya, first female President of Warsaw Hanna Beata Gronkiewicz-Waltz, and Professors John Morijn, Wojciech Sadurski, and Marcin Matczak, I wrote an article on the new Polish government’s aspirations to restore the rule of law for The Politic: Yale's political journal since 1947.
