Would love to hear your thoughts on the proposed H.R. 8070 bill which includes a measure to create a "Drone Corps" as a fresh basic division within the U.S. Army, specializing in small and medium UAS and C-UAS capabilities. This proposal, if approved, necessitates oversight and funding from Congress. It seeks to adapt to drones' battlefield role and integration into military strategies. Does the Army need a Drone Corps? Do we need a Drone COCOM (like CYBERCOM?) or just need drones in the hands of our troops, across all services? 🔗https://lnkd.in/grrvAiHe

MVRsimulation's VRSG has been selected to provide visuals for the MQ-25 (TM) Stingray Mission Systems Trainer (MST) being developed by J.F. Taylor, Inc. The MQ-25 Stingray carrier-based unmanned aerial vehicle, manufactured by Boeing, will provide an aerial refueling capability that extends the range, operational capability and lethality of the Carrier Air Wing and Carrier Strike Group. VRSG will provide high-fidelity visuals for the MQ-25 MST, allowing users to train in a simulated training environment that closely replicates the real world. Visuals will include multiple deck camera views, EO/IR video sensor views, and a stealth (independent observer) view for the system’s Instructor Operator Stations. We look forward to seeing this program stand up over the coming months, and learning more about how VRSG will support training for this critical future capability. #RPAS #USNavy #carrierstrike #military #simulation #training #defense #stingray #simulator

😮 The United States Marine Corps’ M27 infantry automatic rifles could soon receive sophisticated counter-drone attachments. This as the Marine Corps Systems Command issued a formal notice to potential vendors who can deliver rifle-mounted solutions for detecting, identifying, tracking, and defeating hostile drones. These include radio frequency and global positioning system jammers, ammunition, and advanced rifle optics that lock onto an incoming drone. #military #army #defense #defence #defenseindustry #defenceindustry #defensetech #defencetech #militarytech #technology #innovation #marinecorps #usmarinecorps #usmarines #usmc #drones #drone #counterdronetechnology #airdefense #airdefence

🤖🐕 The US Marine Forces Special Operations Command recently tested four-legged unmanned ground vehicles armed with artificial intelligence-enabled rifles. The test, which was conducted at an unknown location, was made public by Eric Shell, an official from Virginia-based Onyx Industries, which supplied the AI-enabled weapon. He said the US Marine command has two Vision 60 quadrupedal UGVs from Ghost Robotics fitted with gun systems based on Onyx’s SENTRY remote weapon system. #military #army #technology #defensetech #defencetech #militarytech #innovation #defense #defence #defenseindustry #defenceindustry #unmannedgroundvehicle #unmannedgroundvehicles #ugv #unmanned #artificialintelligence #ai #marines #usmarines #usmarinecorps #usmc

Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) Cancelled, Shadow and Raven fleet Retired. End production of UH-60V in 2025, ITEP Engine Procurement changing Now what? I have seen a fair number of articles posted here on LinkedIn last week about FARA being cancelled, and many opinions on why? However, what do the Tier 2/ Tier 3 Suppliers think? Where do they focus their BD/Sales time? Here are a few recommendations that I have been tracking, and have won PO's: 1. FLRAA Program 2. UH-60 Modernization 3. AH-64 Apache-Software Upgrades 4. Ch-47F Block II 5. Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) There are a lot of things driving changes like technology, customer demand, tastes, agile drone aircraft, Army Budget, Ukraine, Army Futures Command decision, etc. However, on a positive note there are still programs for suppliers to win at. Have a good one! Scot Wesolaski
