Money doesn't change people, it simply reveals them. As far as character and personality are concerned; money, fame, achievement, all those things don't change people. They simply magnify that which they disguised for long. So if a person was a smaller a**hole, money will just make them a bigger hairy a**hole. In the same aspect, if somebody was humble, money will make them even more humble. Of course money gives people a voice, but that voice was already existent. Money simply provides the microphone. Money is an amplifier of that which we hid for long. Thus, stop saying; "so and so got money and they changed." Or "so and so used to reply my messages now they have money, they don't." It's clear they had always despised the thought of replying your messages, now money has granted them the freedom. And money makes it worse for those who'd never seen it. If a million falls in the hand of that one who's never handled it before or been in its vicinity, it's worse. But thank Goodness. I have been at both points in life. I have lived the life of money and I have also lived the life on the other end. All these experiences have simply humbled me. I know it can be lost. But I also know it can be made. I know what it means to wake up to three maids in a home but I also know the reverse, waking up when there is none. I know what it means going to the fridge and finding all sorts of foods and waking up to no fridge at all. I have seen men who had totally nothing, going on to make so much that everyone is shocked. I have also seen men who had so much that everyone prostrated before them, and now they are beggars. That has taught me, that money is just a medium of exchange. It shouldn't be a tool to control people, to step on others, to raise your voice, to trample on the weak. On the reverse, money should be a tool to uplift the weak, to impact the next generation in a better way and to hopefully self-actualize. So when money comes, be not too excited. Don't use money to settle old scores. Instead, use it to heal those wounds, to bridge those gaps. And know that it is here, but it can as well go through the door. The only thing worth doing is to give out more value. And let the money be the side-effect to the value you give out. What am I trying to say? Be humble. Lots of people earn their first million and think it's a reason to go in a bar and step on everyone. Lots of people buy their first car and think it's a reason to splash water on the pedestrians. Lots of people build their first muscle and think it's a reason to slap their first aggressor. Lots of people get their first hips and think it's a reason to reject and look down on all men. Lots of people buy their first smart phone and think it's a reason to be typing every second. Relax, it's all vanity. We are all maggots in the making. All the matters is "who will cry when we die?" Life as they say is a sisyphean journey. Humility costs nothing.

Save your money $ If God has blessed your hands with money, save your money. Churches teach giving with emphasis, but they don't teach to save your money. We live in a world where it takes money to live and have shelter, unless those that are homeless, Lord, bless them. Ecc 10:19. A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry, 👀Watch this, but money answereth all things. having money speaks volumes. Some wear their money in designer clothing, but they are broker than the Ten Commandments. Others have big houses with all the expenses, and fronting with a luxury vehicle, and they are robbing Peter to pay Paul, No money. You have to sow in a business, on a job, and you will reap money. Some veterans are reaping benefits from serving in the military. However the dividends return, you have to save some of that money. When you save money, it will accumulate if you don't touch it. Money can't grow pinching off of it. You will have to have a budget, which means a certain amount of your savings you will not withdraw, and before you know it, WOW!. It's good to have a safe in the home, and a stash put away that no one knows about but you. Money draws money, if you don't have nothing, nothing is coming, not until you have the mindset to save. It's good to invest in a CD, or CDs and watch your money grow. Make saving and investing your money a business. Here is an important factor, get away from someone that's pulling you down, sure give them a helping hand, but in time if they are not trying to help themselves and you too, they must go. Brother Sugar Daddy and sister Cougar sex is not that good where you have to pay for it, save your money in your old age, you are going to need it. You can shout out MONEY COME TO ME NOW!, without works is vanity. people speaking money into your life without you busting your butt for it is lies. If that's the case no one has to work for a living, just look for someone to speak money/riches into your life (free money) Saving money works for the saved and unsaved, and when you give to the poor, Pro 19:17. lendeth unto the LORD, and that which he hath given will he pay again. In God, he will make you the lender and not the borrower. Do you want to be a person of integrity? save your money, and value your credit score, in doing so banks, lenders, employers, Transunion, Equifax, and Experian will have the upmost respect for you. 'I dont need money' When i hear humanitarians tell me this, i sense a bit of judgemental tone behind it. It seems like they judge themselves or others for needing money. As if to say, it is 'wrong' to need money. At least it is 'wrong' to need more than covering the basics. As i was trying to understand my own judgement of myself about this, here is what i realized as to why i did not need money and what are the ways i dont need money if i have to do things i dont like for most of my life in places or circumstances i hate being in because i tell myself i need money otherwise i cannot make it. I know everyones circumstance is different and at times harsh truth is we just need money for survival, for taking care of our loved ones, etc. But once we took care of the survival, the basics, lets get curious as to what are the ways we actually dont need to be making money? And what are the ways we WANT to be making money? So here is my realization after having worked on it for a while that I dont need money: - if it comes from me compromising what i really want to do and trade it for what i have to do because i need the money. - if it comes from me keep suffering from toxic environments and keep going back there because i feel like i have no other choice because i need the money. - if it comes from me keep suffering from not being able to be with my loved ones and live in places i really want to because i need the money. - if it comes from me keep applying for jobs i actually dont want to but i feel like i have to because i need the money. Therefore, i have learned a lot the skill of making money while doing what i love doing and while being with my loved ones and doing the impact i want. The great thing about this skill is: it required me to really recognize that i have the ability to learn it since i have the ability to learn other skills, so why this should be an exception. This required me to really recognize that i have what it takes to make it happen in the way i like doing things, in the way i make money without compromising (like selling my souls, principles, etc. :) ) like i used to believe, what i love doing and how i love doing it as well. This also required me to really recognize that it does not depend on whether i had the past experience or not whether i am good at this or not and any other limitations that i used to have about it. And helped me release from lots of judgements, attachments, shame, guilt around it and create some freedom within to get honest with myself how i want to make money i want. Whether it's the pride of owning a dream home or the joy of donating, label that emotion. Is it love? Confidence? Generosity? I hear [COMPLIMENTS/AUDIENCE REACTION]. I feel [EMOTIONS]. All of this is possible because I am [YOUR QUALITIES]."_ 🔑 PRO TIP: If you're currently in debt, don't just focus on the debt. If you only see $10,000 of debt, that's all you'll manifest. Aim higher, say $20,000. Pay off your debt and relish the surplus. Remember, your highest and best self has already paid off that debt. What does it mean to be a good steward of what you've been given? I was hanging out with some friends last week and discussing what this means in our lives. One friend pointed out how it's so easy for us to openly talk about the ways we steward our time, our efforts, our talents, etc. And yet, we DON'T talk about how we steward our money. Money is not the only resource we have to steward in our lives, nor is it necessarily the most important. But, it is such a significant factor that leads us to make decisions in our lives. What job do I take? Do I look for a new job? Where should I live? Where should we go out to dinner? Where are we going on vacation this year as a family? What gifts am I going to give for Christmas? Whether intentional or not, our money has a massive impact on all of these decisions that we make day in and day out. Yet, so many of us live in isolation in our financial lives, and thus the thought process with which we make some of these decisions. I wonder how it would reshape our lives if we were an open book with at least one close friend regarding our finances? I wonder how that would change the way we make decisions about how we spend, save, invest, or give away our money? If we're honest with a friend willing to tell the truth to us, I'd bet we'd hear a mix of the following: - "I think you're spending your money in a way that aligns with your life's priorities." - "Maybe you shouldn't buy that house because that will have an impact on your ability to travel with your family like you've talked about for years." - "You know, you say you're really passionate about this cause, but you aren't giving to it. Maybe you should consider giving towards that moving forward?" - "You have more money than you think you do. Maybe there isn't a need to feel as stressed as you do about your finances?" - "Look at all of the progress you've made to get out of debt. Congrats!" At a minimum, I bet we'd feel a sense of feeling known, and encouraged, if we were willing to dive into this area of our lives with a close, trusted relationship. Most areas of our lives only get better when in the context of community, rather than isolation. I hope one day in our country, it would feel a bit more normal for our friends to understand all of the significant areas of our lives more fully, including our finances. *Disclaimer: I am not practicing what I preach here. It's so tough to initiate this dialogue, even with some wonderful friends in my life. But, this post is holding myself accountable to the thought as it's the life I'm striving towards.

Today is 4th of December 2023, and it's 4:01, I just finished eating, as my sister sent me some money. The bank still hasn't sent my N5,000 refund, I am still earnestly hopeful to get that. I am starting to realize that I am constantly made to starve, to enable some people to feed on me, and my life is generally being limited so that some undeserving people can do a " Life exchange"(of which I spoke about sometime back) with my life. They force me to stop doing or eating things that I naturally do and eat, in other to start doing and eating it. And they do this by conniving with my family to limit or restrict my finances, perhaps they are sleeping with some of them and in their wildest dreams start to believe they are equal to me; and what I deserve is what they deserve. Unfortunately, it seems like some of my in-laws sleep with a lot of women and it seems like it's becoming a problem for me; because they have lost all form of rationality. So things that actually belong to me don't usually come to me, as they tend to hold unto it or spend it. Everyone knows that half of the burnt house at omole belongs to me. But we keep on sharing the money equally. Infact, it wasn't equal before the house burnt down. But what they don't know is that my Dad's first wife gave my Dad half of the money for the mortgage on the house and my Dad got the remaining half from selling our house at Yaba, of which she also helped him sell. But they are lucky, or seems to be so, the system always provides for them. They know how they survive; they are never hungry or starving, as they have support systems all around them Some of my in-laws are even eyeing my Dad's first wife's properties, because it's believed that she is my mother. So what I wonder is why do they feel that they deserve everything that is mine, or that we should share everything equally or even hold back my funds. Is it because I am the last born, and they are playing the rule of seniority. Why do they feel that I am not supposed to have any money, and dash me little money from time to time. Understanding, I have a lot at stake, I need my money to protect myself and my sanity. I have a lot of funny women chasing me around, mostly women they have slept with and some them prostitutes believing they deserve my destiny and everything that belongs to me, most of them have some kind of agreement with them as they Sally forth everyday looking for me day and night. This is irritating, because, it's not as if, my dad did not leave anything for my siblings, but some of them fail to understand why it can't be equal; because it is neither Daddy or Mummy's money.

Don't read this! Read this only if you find yourself earning, making money but don't know where the money is going to. This situation is not new to me. I live and sleep in it. If you are in this situation you must do 3 things right now. 1. Stop budgeting off hand or simply stop budgeting from your head. Instead use pencil and paper or better still use your phone note pad. 2. Apply the 50-30-20 rule or system. This says that 50% of what you earn must go for Housing, feeding, transportation etc. 30% of what you earn must go for emergency fund, investment, savings and co. 20% of what you earn must go for fun stuffs, entertainment and co. To put this in a context, assuming you earn 30k monthly the 50-30-20 will then be: 15,000 for Housing and all 9000 for Emergency fund and all 6000 for fun and all lf what you earn is N150,000 then your 50-30-20 will be as follows. 75,000 for Housing and all 45,000 for Emergency and all 30,000 for fun and all Based on this you can decide how much you can pay for rent, and others. With this you can determine how much you can give out as help to other people in a month. 3. Stick with this for the next 6 month before you assume that it will not work. I know you will not do it. Do you know how I am sure of that? 1. Because I did not start taking action on this rule when I first learnt about it. 2. It is too easy and slow and people like doing complicated things. Now will you prove me wrong?

I remember as a young girl chatting with my gran about money. She always kept money hidden in old whisky bottles and envelopes “ just in case” ✉️ She never told me what “ just in case” was. But just that it was hidden away. 💸 My grandad worked in the mines and each week, they'd collect the wages and pension money due. I remember my gran telling me that they were “ punished” for having “ too much money” to have any help to pay the rent. Which didn't leave them much left. 😩 So they'd save any spare pennies…for “ just in case” and hide them. As a child, the wisdom collected was “ if you earn too much, you'll be punished” and you'd have it taken from you. Here's how this played out in my own life. All on an unconscious level. That having too much was UNSAFE & therefore it was SAFER when money was hidden. So when I entered into my own marriage. I'd hide money from my husband. The amount I earned, what I bought, what I'd spent, what I had left. I'd even lie about clothes I'd buy and tell him I'd bought them months ago. ( my clients know about the £10 mustard coat with the alarm tags on, which led to this awakening ) 😂🤭 Because having surplus or leftovers was UNSAFE. Earning too much was UNSAFE. So I squandered it. Hundreds of pounds each month on crap, clothes, food, to unconsciously stay SAFE. ( that id then hide) 🍕👠 Because I had developed a deeply ingrained belief that having too much meant “ punishment” and it would be taken from me. So therefore To hide and keep it secret kept me SAFE. Or so I thought…. And this isn't uncommon. 🤔 Especially as you grow and scale your business. Where larger amounts of money come in, and higher tax brackets are hit. 💷💵 Where it's safer to stay at the same level than go to the next money stage. 🤦♂️ Where you cap your earnings through fear of losing it, or being “ punished” by the tax system.🤫 So you play safe and unconsciously won't go over a certain amount. Because there's an unconscious belief that it's UNSAFE to hold larger amounts of money. 😩 So you'll unconsciously sabotage at a certain stage. 🤦♂️🤦♀️ So how did I go from hiding money, to having open conversations with my husband? ❤️ How did I go from creating drama, kicking off, arguing and leaving any conversation that was about money. To stay in the room and get real with the discomfort..❤️ From capping what I earned, to earning more than I ever thought capable..❤️💸 I worked on my relationship with money…I worked on my relationship with feeling safe. And I worked on my ability to receive and hold more. I took myself through deep uncomfortable work, that MADE me stay in the room and be present with money. And after 2years of doing this work, I'm ready to share this with the world. Because WEALTH starts within. SAFETY starts WITHIN. And it starts with YOU. And this work is POTENT…

𝐀 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 Money isn’t everything. But it’s the only thing that can buy freedom and time. Time is the only gift with enough value for your family and friends. Debt can be great to propel a business, but it’s a bitter poison drug for a person. Treat its dealers accordingly. Pride is better than any alarm clark. Honesty is the softest pillow. Fidelity is the warmest bed. Achievement is more effective than melatonin. Relevance makes you a better human. You confused it for popularity in high school, it will look like being liked in your 20s, it will feel like work and life events in your 30s and by your 40s you’ll see it was only about how you value yourself. Being relevant gives value to yourself, the people you care about, and the world. Strive to be more relevant each day. Let nothing else define who you are, but playing by the rules makes the game more fun for everyone. Being a maverick is cool in the movies and occasionally you’ll be the hero. Learn to be an extra most of the time without being extra. You’re important, but so is everyone else. If you don’t have a religion yet you will find it when you need it most. If you’d like a head start to the proverbial rock bottom everyone reaches at some point in their lives begin to familiarize yourself with it by being charitable. You will be ok. Know that. Expect that. One of the most effective medicines you’ll ever take is perspective. It’s a hard pill to swallow. The elongation of time and being able to see things from way up high and away from the viewpoint of history is a superpower. Speak often and nearly only to the people who inspire you and who you’d like to be and you will become even better than you had hoped. You are an exaggeration of the 5 people you spend most of your time with. Decide. That leads me to hope. You’ll have to earn money to buy time. You’ll have to move society to be better to ensure your freedom, but today I’d like to give you hope. It’s something you can own, fully control, and nothing and no one can ever take away. Decide to be hopeful. You did it kid. Great work.
