When you go professional in business, sport, music, dance, drama or life - you can't do what others do and that's criticise, insult and kill. @ChrisMinnsMP is the only premier who understands the financial realities of what drives affordable housing --it's capital investment - which the NSW government has finally made. For his strategic brilliance - his ability to understand the limitation we all work with is reality - and Australia's first workable solution to deliver affordable housing - you can only do it with capital which the government has finally put down - all he's got is a slap down! Criticism doesn't tell me or any one you are empathetic or intelligent, gentle, patient or kind - it tells me you are fucking lazy ! And the world would be better off without you. Twitter opens your eyes to the Australian public - the bottom feeders - they are all found in all socio economic groups btw- there are an equal number of 'bottom feeders' at the top of society as there are at the bottom of it -they are lazy not enlightened. This gives us a powerful new equation to take forward in pour personal lives - if a positive mind is ENLIGHTENMENT (aware that reality is the limitation we must overcome) then a negative mind is DISILLUSIONMENT (aka A LAZY MIND, a mind that listens and even does but that does not THINK And therefore is obtuse, on the wrong road to perdition, already). The good news is - since all equations can be altered and modified (an equation cannot be improved - except through the alteration or modification of its original variables and the signs or signals that drive interaction (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication or elevation of symbols or signs - they are signals that drive interactions and outcomes in maths) - we know that all people are changeable, modifiable and improveable through a change in personal, social, economic, political and personal circumstances . For organisations- - telling people they must change, pull up their socks, lift their game - doesn't a position make any sense - you have to understand the variables at play in their lives, the signals they are being exposed to - change both these to a positive sign and variable- and only then and only then can or will LASTING CHANGE, CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN will be created.

Funding is so desperately needed when it comes to adult social care in the UK. The recent government freezing of means tested thresholds for a 14th consecutive year means more people than ever before are facing self-funding their own adult social care. As funding levels for local authority adut social care continue to fall in real terms RJ Advocacy takes a look at the possible impacts of this very concerning situation in their February blog. You can read our February blog here https://lnkd.in/eyeGeKxJ to find out more. Whilst numbers don't tell the whole story it is worth putting the real terms funding shortfall into context : The most recent Census 2021 puts the estimated number of unpaid carers at 5 million in England and Wales. This means that around 9% of people are providing unpaid care. However, Carers UK research in 2022 estimates the number of unpaid carers could be as high as 10.6 million (Carers UK, Carers Week 2022 research report). This, together with ONS Census data for Scotland and Northern Ireland, suggests that the number of unpaid carers across the UK is 5.7 million. 4.7% of the population in England and Wales are providing 20 hours or more of care a week. Over the period 2010-2020, every year, 4.3 million people became unpaid carers – 12,000 people a day (Petrillo and Bennett, 2022). 59% of unpaid carers are women (Census 2021). Women are more likely to become carers and to provide more hours of unpaid care than men. More women than men provide high intensity care at ages when they would expect to be in paid work (Petrillo and Bennett, 2022) One in seven people in the workplace in the UK are juggling work and care (Carers UK, Juggling Work and Care, 2019). Between 2010-2020, people aged 46-65 were the largest age group to become unpaid carers. 41% of people who became unpaid carers were in this age group (Petrillo and Bennett, 2022). #AdultSocialCare #SocialCareSupport #Advocacy #Mediation #SocialCareFunding #GovernmentFunding #RJAdvocacyBlog Link to Facebook page for dual channel social media coverage of the February blog

Providing the best resources to help black nurses launch, build and grow their entrepreneurial endeavors.
𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐦𝐢𝐝𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 By now you've probably heard the news about Facebook shaking things up by removing the use of third-party apps on its platform. Yeah, it's a bit of a curveball, and it definitely poses some challenges for all of us. But remember...... every setback is just an opportunity in disguise! 😉 𝐒𝐨, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬? Well, first off, it's a reminder to stay adaptable in the ever-evolving world of social media. Change is inevitable, and as community managers, we've got to roll with the punches and find new ways to connect with our members. 🤝 It's also a wake-up call to diversify our strategies and not rely too heavily on any single platform or tool. Building a strong community isn't just about the platform; it's about the relationships we cultivate and the value we provide. Platforms may come and go, but the relationships we build with our community members are what truly matter. So, let's keep the conversation going, support each other through these changes, and continue to learn and grow together! 💪 𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲?
