It all started with a simple idea. A creative engineer was looking for a solution at the beginning of the 80s, so that he would no longer have to create schematics with a pencil and ruler. Up to this point, electrical design and the CAD world were only possible using huge mainframe computers in large companies. But the engineer investeds in a personal computer, which was just coming onto the market at the time and started experimenting. He succeeded to create schematics on the PC using affordable hardware and software. An ingenious invention! The company was founded, and the electrical engineering software was named "Eplan". Celebrating 40 years 🎂 in the software industry is truly remarkable given the rapid pace of innovation. We are immensely grateful and pleased to share Eplan's 40th anniversary with you—our customers, partners, and friends. In the impressive setting of the “Nationales Automuseum The Loh Collection” in Dietzhölztal, our customers and partners celebrated the anniversary with a gala dinner in the presence of our owner Prof. Dr. Friedhelm Loh. We would like to thank all participants and speakers, especially Rainer Brehm, CEO Factory Automation at Siemens, for his inspiring keynote speech. Congratulations on your 40th anniversary! In Automationstechnik, Eplan ProPanel and Eplan Fluid are used as the main programs for creating electrical and pneumatic designs in machine construction. We also utilize their features for cabinet layout and visualization projects. Additionally, we have integrated Eplan with our company's order system, which makes our business processes highly automated.
A strong partnership can shape technological progress - and that is what we have done and will continue to do in the future. It was a pleasure to celebrate the 40th anniversary with you all 🎉.
