Epoch reposted this
When we were starting Epoch, William Ouellette and I were told by multiple people to meet with Maex Ament and Philip Stehlik - the founding duo behind Centrifuge and Taulia. Supply chain payments, enterprise software, fintech, web3 - all the subject matter expertise we needed to help us with Epoch. But we also wanted to diligence them - we spoke to two other founders they supported and one of them told us "I wish people talk about me behind my back the way people talk about Maex and Philip." We now see why. We've enlisted Maex and Philip to be not just investors, but also "co-pilots" helping on day to day issues - ranging from unblocking deals, to partnership agreements to moonshots. Most importantly, we love working with them. They have been in the trenches and know what it means to start from scratch. We couldn't be more thrilled to have them onboard! Thank you Maex Ament and Philip Stehlik!
It's hard to find a company that isn’t claiming to move toward Net Zero these days. But how many are making good on their claims, and how many can prove it? The challenge, as ever, lies in supply chains. Scope 3 emissions — those that echo down the supply chain and represent up to 70% of a company’s carbon footprint — are notoriously hard to track and monitor, which makes it even harder to hold ourselves and each other to account. What the world needs is incentivization, collaboration, and accountability, all hard-coded into our technology and our supply chains. So it’s a good job Epoch exists. Led by Jinal Surti and William Ouellette, Epoch is making agricultural and forestry supply chains transparent and sustainable with technology that makes carbon reduction a win-win for growers and buyers. We could not be more excited to support Jinal & William as co-pilots to help them build this plane. Find the full story on what Epoch is working on and why we're excited below!👇
