Epsilon Advanced Conductors USA’s Post

⚡📰 In a recent POWER magazine article covering the ongoing effort to strengthen America’s Electric Power Grid, Andrew Phillips -vice president of T&D Infrastructure at EPRI, reminds how #ACSS and #CompositeCore conductors are complementary, as each technology offers distinct benefits: He points out that with ACSS “you can easily design a new line—you can make the towers a little taller or put the tension a bit higher—you can get over the obstacles. But to go and re-conductor an existing line, that’s not easy.” He also adds that “When reconductoring existing lines to expand capacity, a better option could be installing carbon-core conductors”, since “reconductoring existing lines with carbon-core conductors could allow going to higher temperatures without having to worry about sag constraints” ➡ For more information about #AdvancedConductors please visit: https://lnkd.in/eRkpHuEV ➡ Read the full POWER magazine article by Aaron Larson here: https://lnkd.in/gPS77twq ➡ Feel free to reach out to our team Joseph Sylvia & Matthieu Landais, or to contact our engineering team to discuss your projects: contact@epsilon-cable.com #Powerlines #Transmission #EnergyTransition #Composites #Reconductoring #OHL
