Honoring Our Heroes: The Impact of Expert Testimony on Veterans' Rights #VeteranRights #ExpertWitness #MilitaryExpert As we approach Memorial Day weekend, a time to honor and remember those who have died in service to our country, also reminds us of the continuous struggle to ensure justice and equality for all servicemembers. This Memorial Day, we reflect not only on the sacrifices made by our servicemembers but also on the battles fought within our courts to uphold their rights. One notable case is that of Major Margaret Witt, whose challenge to the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy in 2008 exemplifies the powerful role of expert witnesses in shaping military justice. Experts like Dr. Aaron Belkin, a political science professor specializing in military and gender studies, Dr. Nathaniel Frank, a historian with expertise in LGBTQ military history, and Dr. Gregory Herek, a psychologist specializing in sexual orientation and military cohesion, provided pivotal testimony. Their insights revealed the positive impact of inclusive service on unit cohesion and morale, leading to a landmark ruling that mandated a higher evidentiary standard for discharges based on sexual orientation. On this Memorial Day, let's reflect on the sacrifices of those who served and the ongoing efforts to uphold their memories through the legal system. • Women must step into power • Women want more connected networks… resources should be provided to enable them to change societies • We have to wage justice on gender equality issues • We can work in collective ways to amass great results, but we must come together to achieve that • In gender we need to be more organized, create more women’s networks, networks that help other women, networks that create opportunities to help other women into power • Women in the informal sector’s labour hasn’t been counted in the past, but value can be put on such labour • We must be the first to identify that need opportunities to be leaders in their societies then we would see lasting change • Stop saying it’s impossible! • If you leave this world better, having positively affected at least one person then is a life well lived “Hope is being able to see the light despite the darkness”

Championing Quality in a Stagnant Corporate World * Deming’s Legacy and the Unlearned Lessons of Today’s Business Practices * Contributor on LinkedIn About Business and the Philosophy of Quality in an Idea Economy
YOU KNOW IN YOUR HEART OF HEARTS HE SAID NO MATTER HOW MUCH HE SAYS "FAKE NEWS"! Welcome to the Ultimate Showdown: Conning Conundrum Syndrome vs. Trump Derangement Syndrome! In one corner, we have... Conning Conundrum Syndrome (CCS)! - Symptoms: Unshakable loyalty, denial reflex, and the blame game shuffle. Victims insist they haven't been conned by Trump and Putin, despite overwhelming evidence that could make a blindfolded jury shout "Guilty!" And in the other corner, we have... Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS)! - Symptoms: Uncontrollable eye-rolling at the mention of Trump, spontaneous fits of fact-checking, and an intense urge to debunk every tweet. Accused sufferers vehemently oppose Trump, sometimes with a fervor that rivals a sports fan during the playoffs. CCS - "Conning Conundrum Syndrome" is like having a GPS that stubbornly refuses to recalibrate. You're headed for a cliff, but it keeps saying, "Turn right in 100 feet." You’re convinced the destination is glorious, but spoiler alert: it’s a steep drop into reality. TDS - "Trump Derangement Syndrome" is like having a highly sensitive radar that detects every single Trump-related blip, no matter how small. You’re hyper-aware of every move, comment, and typo, often resulting in high blood pressure and a sudden urge to tweet. Denial vs. Obsession - CCS: "No way, Trump’s perfect!" - TDS: "No way, Trump’s terrible!" Blame Game vs. Blame Flame - CCS: "What about those emails?" - TDS: "What about that tax return?" Loyalty vs. Paranoia - CCS: "Trump could do no wrong." - TDS: "Trump can do no right." The Hilarious Hypocrisy: - CCS sufferers are like fans at a magic show, utterly convinced that the magician’s tricks are real, while TDS sufferers are the skeptics yelling, "I see the wires!" - CCS Remedy: "Come on, admitting you've been conned isn't that bad. Think of it like realizing the magician pulls rabbits out of hats, not thin air." - TDS Remedy: "Hey, take a breath. Sometimes it’s okay to let a tweet pass by without a full investigation. Not every blip is a bombshell." In the grand scheme of things, both CCS and TDS could use a little bit of perspective, a dash of humor, and a lot less stress. After all, life’s too short to be stuck in a syndrome, right? So, whether you’re staunchly defending or constantly critiquing, remember to laugh along the way. Because in the end, we’re all just trying to navigate this crazy world, one conundrum at a time.
We remember and honor the sacrifices made by American men and women throughout history this #MemorialDay. We also firmly denounce the disgraced former president who besmirches their memory by calling them "suckers and losers."

BLUF: As a #society, we must better recognize the contributions of women, especially women #Veterans who are often unsung #heroes. The #underrepresentation of women in place names highlights historical gender biases. By increasing #awareness and advocating for their recognition, we can honor their service and ensure they receive the acknowledgment they deserve. While we can't fix the world, we can change how we do business by naming places after these remarkable women who have significantly impacted our communities. “Major” Locations Named After Women States: Only three U.S. states are named after women: #Virginia and West Virginia: Named for Queen Elizabeth I of England, the “Virgin Queen." #Maryland: Named for Henrietta Maria, wife of King Charles I of England. Counties and Cities: Dare County, North Carolina: Named after Virginia Dare, the first English child born in the New World. Barton County, Kansas: Honors Clara Barton, founder of the American Red Cross. #Pocahontas Counties in Iowa and West Virginia: Named after the Native American woman who assisted early English settlers. “Minor” Locations and Airports Named After Women #Airports: Amelia Earhart Airport in Atchison, Kansas: Named after aviator Amelia Earhart. “Minor” Locations: Susanville, California: Named for Susan Roop, the founder's daughter. Daisetta, #Texas: Named after settlers Daisy Barrett and Etta White. Jenny Lind, #California: Named after Swedish opera singer Jenny Lind. There are very few locations specifically named after female veterans. Historically, military bases and similar institutions have predominantly been named after male figures. No “significant” locations in the U.S. are explicitly named after female #Veterans. The underrepresentation of women in place names reflects historical #genderbiases, even more so for female veterans. Increased #awareness and advocacy could lead to more places being named to honor women's future contributions.

🏙️ Remember a Local, Name a Place! Victoria’s cities, suburbs, and regions are growing, and the Victorian Government needs your help to name the new streets, parks, and community spaces that will emerge. Over the next 3 years, more than 6,000 places will need names, and we want those names to honour the people who’ve made our communities thrive. This is a unique opportunity to increase the recognition of Women, First Nations, LGBTQIA+, people with disabilities, and culturally and linguistically diverse communities, who have historically been underrepresented in place naming. Naming places can celebrate legacies, and now it’s your turn to ensure the women who’ve shaped our communities are honoured too. 💪👩🎨 To be commemorated, the nominee must be deceased, have a lasting legacy, and a strong connection to the area. Nominations will be added to a council name bank for consideration when a new place needs naming. Let’s make sure our place names reflect the rich diversity of our community and the incredible impact of women across Victoria! 🌏 ➡️ How to Nominate: Gather a short bio, connection to the area, and reasons for nomination. Include letters of support from next of kin or organisations. Submit your nomination through the provided form. ➡️ The full details and application form can be found here: https://lnkd.in/g56VeFV6 This is your chance to ensure the names of our streets, parks, and public spaces tell the stories of women and other community heroes who’ve made a real difference. 🌟 #NameALocal #Victoria #WomenInHistory #CommunityHeroes #DiversityInNaming #puthernameonit

Why is the Civilized World tolerating these barbaric attrocities even in 21st Century? The very fact that Organizations such as ISIS, HAMAS etc. exist in today's age and time is disturbing and disgusting, as it proves existence of fanatics having such an ideology and a sick mindset. There is a clear need to fight this dangerous ideology by all civilized societies across the world.
Worse has been done to our ancestors and we have thought about the wrong history. We don't even know how many women sacrificed their life for the nation.

📢Pink Feather Campaign📢 Inspired by historical evidence, most notably the "White Feather Campaign" of WWI, the "Pink Feather Campaign" is the new symbol aimed at the female cowardice, of modern feminism. Historically, the white feather was famously used during WWI by British feminists who would show it to men not in uniform to guilt them into joining the military. Inspired by this historical backdrop provided to us by women, the " Pink Feather Campaign" aims to solve the modern problem of selective service registration, especially with an eye toward women who object to registering. The pink feather in this campaign represents a challenge to and criticism of the position taken by women who decide not to register for U.S. selective service. Considering the historical use of the white feather, this campaign intends to inspire public awareness, responsibility and societal obligation by using the pink feather for women. #PinkFeatherCampaign
