Managing Member Nicole Galli recently spent two days at the Annual Meeting for the Sedona Conference Working Group (12) on Trade Secrets with other members of the trade secrets bar discussing a variety of "hot topics" in field. She is also a member of the Trade Secrets Working Group Steering Committee and currently co-leads the drafting team that is preparing a comprehensive set of model jury instructions under the Defend Trade Secrets Act (DTSA). At the meeting, Nicole's panel highlighted a variety of issues that have arisen from its drafting work and on which they sought feedback from the wider group. Other panels focused on topics such as sharing trade secrets with other organizations (always a risky endeavor), use of "clean rooms" (a good idea), use of confidentiality agreements (also a good idea), and the latest decisions on trade secrets damages, among others. In this month's blog, Nicole highlights a few of the issues discussed and some of the insights shared at the meeting. Read it here: https://bit.ly/3zzVcfx #womeninlaw #womenownedlaw #tradesecrets

We are excited to share that James Harvey and Aastha Mantri have published an article in Issue 6 of the ThoughtLeaders4 Competition | TL4C magazine. They take on two difficult questions that the CAT has raised as the collective proceedings regime in the UK enters a new phase: (1) what is the likely take-up rate of collective settlements; and (2) how do different distribution arrangements affect the likely take-up rate? The article delves into the challenges associated with answering these questions, including the drawbacks of standard methods such as surveys, experiments, and trials, and discusses what can be done to help address them. The full article can be found here: https://lnkd.in/dnH7yu4w #TL4Competition #competitionlaw #collectiveaction #classaction #competitionlitigation ThoughtLeaders4 Competition | TL4C, Peter Miles, Helen Berwick, Maddi Briggs, Chris Leese, Danushka De Alwis, Paul Barford, and Maximus McCabe-Abel

Join us for our webinar ‘10x Growth In The UK Litigation Market: Priming An Industry For Scale’ on the 22nd April from 3:00-4:00pm! Across the collective redress market, we’re seeing unprecedented growth across the number of cases, cohorts of claimants, the value of settlements and the funding that underpins this era of the mega-group action. Any business or industry that goes through this sort of growth has work to do to prime operating models to be ready to scale. It's a great problem to have, but one that requires us to lean in. Key Topics of Discussion: - In an ecosystem where we are all about to 10x our operations, are we ready? - What have we already put in place to anticipate the future volumes? - What challenges do we need to lean into now to overcome gaps in the operating model? - And what potential hurdles are we scanning on the horizon that we’ll need to navigate in the build-up to the forthcoming mega-settlements? Register to attend for free here – https://lnkd.in/ewxqY73w #Litigation #VirtualEvents #TL4Competition Claire Van der Zant, Rosie Murray, Andrew Hill, Clare Ducksbury, Maddi Briggs, Maximus McCabe-Abel, Helen Berwick, Peter Miles
