A Holiday Gift + A Lesson in Patience? This holiday season, my son surprised me with a unique gift—an Orchid LEGO plant. I will not say I liked it much , but as he got this, I accepted. He didn’t just gift it and leave it at that; he kept asking, “When are you going to complete it?” To be honest, I wasn’t immediately thrilled. I’ve never really been into building LEGO sets—well, except maybe a little when my son was younger. But he was too nagging 😊 , so I decided to give it a shot. What started with resistance turned into an unexpectedly engaging process. Piece by piece, I saw the Orchid plant take shape, and it was fascinating. The outcome? A beautiful artefact now proudly displayed on my dining table. But beyond that, the experience left me awed Patience rewards effort: Often, what feels tedious at the start can lead to something beautiful if we stick with it. Value of small steps: Big outcomes are built one small step at a time—a lesson relevant far beyond LEGO sets. This little Bonsai has become more than just a decorative piece; it’s a reminder of the joy in trying new things. Advait Sanjay- the man behind me doing this. Crayons, Snacks, Chocolates, Conversations, and What Not? If given a chance, I’d love to relive my life right from point zero. Not to change anything, just to experience every single day again, but through a fresh lens, a different perspective. Back then, I never cared much for drawing classes. Crayons were just tools I ignored, and sketchbooks were left untouched. But if I could go back now, I’d hold those crayons tight. I’d sketch, paint, and enjoy every messy masterpiece. I’d play more in the sun, splash longer in the pool, and wait eagerly for friends this time with more patience and gratitude. I’d return to those first video games, savor every bite of those childhood snacks, and cherish those silly, heartfelt conversations with “situation-based best friends.” I’d cry over tiny setbacks and let the tears flow freely until I felt lighter. Back then, emotions weren’t measured or concealed they were just pure, raw, and honest. Isn’t it strange? Today, I can access the best of everything, but the one thing I can’t do is turn back time. The moments I didn’t fully appreciate then now feel like treasures locked away forever. And isn’t it exciting? For all our progress as humans, time remains the one thing we can’t bend or rewind. Maybe that’s why those memories hold such magic, they remind us to live fully today, so tomorrow’s “what ifs” become fewer. #randomthoughts
