The MBA world spins like a well-oiled gear. Just as the scent of graduation roses fills the air, a bittersweet undercurrent flows. Senior classmates, once bleary-eyed classmates fueled by coffee and case studies, turn into polished professionals ready to conquer the corporate jungle. Yet, the halls don't stay empty for long. A fresh wave of eager juniors washes in, their eyes bright with ambition, ready to dive headfirst into their summer internships – the coveted SIP. The torch is passed, the cycle continues. Seniors become alumni, sharing their war stories of late nights and triumphs. Juniors, armed with newfound summer experiences, step up to become the seasoned veterans themselves. The MBA circle spins, year after year, a constant churn of knowledge, growth, and goodbyes laced with the promise of new beginnings.

This past week, our interns reviewed their first quarter achievements, progress, and performance. This gave our interns a chance to look back and look ahead. Our mentors have emphasized the importance of not only receiving feedback from others, but self-evaluating and assessing our current progress. Self-evaluation allows for personal reflection and what we can do to improve moving forward. Taking the time to review our work helps us stay aligned with our goals and ensures that we are consistently moving in the right direction. Given an evaluation metrics form, our interns reflected on different areas of their projects: scoping, planning, problem solving, execution, and innovative thinking. Insight: What useful knowledge did you gain from using these self-evaluation metrics?

3 Things My Interns Taught Me This Year: -Support Their Boundary-Setting: Notice those small moments where they work past fear of disappointing you or anyone else in order to set a boundary, and celebrate that moment! That moment may have taken so much energy to work up to, so let them know you value their effort in doing so. There are too many of us who struggle with setting boundaries, so it is always a great moment when our young people test this out. -Assume the Best: Okay, I already knew this, but I am always appreciative of those moments when you assume anyone you are working with has great intention when something does not go perfectly, and then you find out context that you were correct. We all just want to do our best! -Prioritize Space for Creative Freedom: If it were not for this, allowing my interns to have some decision-making power in how we navigate certain strategies, we would not have been able to create such meaningful connections with students on this campus. So thank you to my interns, enjoy the remainder of your summer, and I will see you in the Fall!

🌟 Apprentice Tip of the Week: Set Clear Goals 🌟 We're excited to share our latest tip for apprentices on their journey to success. This week, we're focusing on the importance of setting clear goals. 🔹 Why Set Clear Goals? Clear goals give direction and purpose. They help you outline your short-term and long-term objectives, keeping you motivated and focused.

Ending the year with some reflections and learnings that I'll undoubtedly appreciate looking back on with gratitude. 1. Made friends, lost a few friends, reconnected with old friends. 2. Explored a dream destination and reveled in the joy of witnessing my first snowfall.  3. Engaged in an enriching offline internship, reaping both financial rewards and heartfelt gifts for my loved ones out of it. 4. Received a truly precious and emotional gift, creating lasting memories. 5. Cherished college to the fullest. 6. Actively participated in the best college fest and vibed to a live concert experience. 7. Switched to better habits and schedules. 8. Recognized the tangible rewards of hard work and experienced the real-life impact of the power of manifestation. 9. Most importantly, navigated through a year filled with emotional turbulence, bad health, highs and lows, and moments of sheer happiness. 10. As I stepped into my twenties, I saw myself grow :)

Wow!! My Second Year of college Flew By! 🍂 Time flies when you're buried under textbooks and running on caffeine! I can't believe my second year of college is already over. This year has been a wild ride. From those infamous all-nighters and juggling five group projects at once to somehow managing to squeeze in a social life, I’ve learned more than I ever thought possible. Lesson #1: Resilience: How to function on three hours of sleep and still make it to an 8 AM class. Balancing classes, extracurriculars, and internships wasn’t easy, but hey, sleep is overrated, right? Internships and hands-on projects were a blast, too. Who knew that what we learn in class actually applies to the real world? Plus, meeting some seriously cool professors and classmates made the chaos a bit more bearable. Looking back, I'm thankful for all the stress and extra coffee. They've made me stronger and a bit more caffeinated. As I prepare for my third year,I'm ready to jump back into the chaos and learn even more and maybe, just maybe, figure out how to balance everything without needing a caffeine IV drip. Here’s to all the college students out there trying to survive and thrive! And for the future, let’s aim for at least six hours of sleep a night. We’ve got this! 📜
