We need your urgent action now to help fund the gap! Did you know that Illinois is ranked 49th in the nation in its funding commitment for community-based services for people with disabilities?! Please help fund the gap now at www.LittleCity.org/Gap for the people with disabilities who call Little City home! Despite the support from the state for those we serve, there is no new funding that will change that ranking in the current Illinois budget - making it significantly more challenging to provide the vital programs and services the people with disabilities need and deserve. So, we are asking for your URGENT help - #1 SHARE this message to help spread awareness about this significant funding gap. #2 DONATE now to help fund the gap! Every dollar - $25, $50, $100 - enables us to provide a community and comprehensive scope of services that are not currently funded for people with disabilities at Little City! Help fund the gap now at www.LittleCity.org/Gap

CEO | Qualified Welfare Counsellor | Keynote Speaker | Advocate for Disabilities and Inclusive Educations | Dedicated to Empowering Communities
As the CEO of Keeley’s Cause, there’s no greater joy than witnessing the transformative impact of gifting an iPad to a child living with autism or an intellectual disability. Through technology, these children access a world they often understand far better than we do. An iPad isn’t just a device; it’s a tool for empowerment. It provides children with self-worth, helps them learn in the way that suits them best, regulates meltdowns, alleviates depression, and equips them with the tools they need to navigate the world around them. So why wouldn’t we want children with autism and intellectual disabilities to have access to these life-changing resources? This is why we do what we do at Keeley’s Cause—to bridge the gap for those who are in need but don’t have access to these essential tools. If you’d like to support a child and be a part of their journey, you can donate at the following link: https://lnkd.in/g358Euz #inclusiveeducation #disabilitysupport #ipad #technolgy #autism #neurodivergent #journey #joinus #nonprofit #charity #bridgingthegap #changinglives #makinganimpact #supportingothers

Our top priority is to expand and innovate to serve more individuals and families in need. We've come far in 20 years, but the need for lifetime support is enormous. We must meet the demand for services that grow as our children grow up into adulthood. Living, leisure, learning, and earning are all critical areas we are poised and ready to address. As a grassroots, parent-led organization, we rely on community support to operate. Where will we be in 20 years without family and community involvement? Families rely on AutismUp programs and support, and we need everyone's help to ensure they remain available. Imagine the possibilities we can create with your involvement! This is where your support becomes crucial. We have a monumental challenge to raise $100,000 towards our KiteFlite Fundraising Challenge by August 11, 2024, in honor of our 20th anniversary. A gift of any amount will go a long way in helping us achieve this goal and make a tangible impact on the lives of those affected by autism now. Your immediate support will help us expand programs and services for all ages and lead a comprehensive housing analysis for individuals with autism and I/DD in Rochester. Please consider donating to a formed KiteFlite Team, or creating your own team to fundraise for AutismUp within your #Community and #Network https://lnkd.in/eSaW-X8z Your support is an investment in a more inclusive and supportive future for individuals with autism. #DonateToday #HelpFamiliesSOAR #CommunityStrong

Be part of "Building Brighter Future: For Young Adults with Autism." Ensuring reliable funds will give our Young Adult Connection groups members relief from having to pay to be part of a community outing, provide additional special community outings during the months, and more. During April, you can show your direct support to help us achieve our goal of $5,000 the following ways: - Consider making a reoccurring monthly donation supporting our Young Adult Connection program. - Creating your own fundraiser at school, work, church, etc to support our Young Adult Connection program. Some ideas could be host a car wash event, wearing jeans to work or school for $5, etc. Then directly donate the proceeds from your fundraiser to ACC. - Simply make a one time donation to support our Young Adult Connection program. Charities are the heroes, we must support them as much as we can. They offer tangible advice, guidance and emotional support to those that need it most, and can generally struggle for funding and resources. Number 16 suggests partnering with charities to design useful resources for autistic people. "16. Work with autism charities to produce “autism design guides” for a range of industries. Show how to create appropriate and supportive design of premises, furnishings, equipment and procedures, and include examples of where these have worked well." Take it that step further and create a social media strategy around content to help autistic people engage with your business and feel understood. This can be a great way to attract autistic talent and build a reputation in the autism employment space. Appealing to talent in the autistic community will not only enrich your culture and diversity, but bring out the best of your own staff and products/services down the line. Think ahead! #AutismEmployment #AutimaticUK #AutismAtWork
