As we begin the month of November, Equity Through Action is taking the opportunity to observe and celebrate Native American Heritage Month. This significant period honors the rich history, diverse cultures, and notable contributions of indigenous people throughout history and today. It also acknowledges the systemic erasure and injustices that indigenous people have have faced over centuries in the United States.   It is essential to take the time to:   - Recognize the history of settler colonialism in the United States.   - Understand how the legacy of colonialism continues to impact indigenous communities today through lack of resources and displacement.   - Foster inclusivity in your workplaces to amplify the voices of colleagues who identify has indigenous or Native American. - Encourage cultural appreciation.   To gain a historical perspective, understand racial equity, and learn tools for change, you can schedule a "Roots of Racism" professional development session. This course is invaluable for professionals seeking to contribute to an equitable workplace and society.   To schedule a session, contact Brittney, Client Relations, via email at Brittney@equitythroughaction.com or via text/phone at (559) 341-7211.   #AmericanIndianHeritageMonth #NativeAmericanHeritage #EquityThroughAction #RootsOfRacism #DiversityAndInclusion #ProfessionalDevelopment
