I recently got back from a team-wide offsite with Tydo where we were able to (almost) ship 2 new features in 48 hours. This goes to show that if you just clear the calendar every once and a while, pure deep work can really make magic happen: It was great going heads down on hackathon work with our team — it had a fun, startup vibe that brings an energy only understandable from experience. We spent 2 days collectively focused on developing the V1’s for two great tools: → Tydo’s first AI-based feature (not a chat gpt wrap 🙃 more info to come) → New report builder for exploring tailored order data (launching soon on our app) I know we can’t do this every week, but it was awesome to see how fast we can move as a small team. I’ll be sharing more on the features mentioned above soon — I think our clients will really like them.

Week 2 at Antler Vietnam's 7th cohort was full of energy, creativity, and hands-on learning! 🚀 From design thinking, idea generation to idea validation, our founders received tips on how to tell their stories and present their ideas more effectively. The highlight of the week was our collaboration with Amazon Web Services for our Gen AI Bootcamp 🎉 Here’s what went down: 🛠️ We kicked off with workshops on GenAI use cases and AWS’s no-code tool, PartyRock, led by Kai Yong, Kang, Nhu Tran, Kien Nguyen and the AWS team. Founders got to work on building quick prototypes to test their business ideas - no coding needed! It was amazing to see how they could build solutions to solve problems closely related to their expertise and experience in such a short duration! The week wrapped up with pitches and demos, where founders shared their ideas and their progress. The frenzied pace of investment in generative AI companies underscores the future competitive landscape in this emerging market. Each company that is trying to build a world-class large language AI model is literally going to guzzle cash - probably for the next decade. The ultimate winner will be determined by the company that generates the most cash (or raises the most money) to keep the innovation train humming. This is not a race about innovation, though. This is a battle over application development. The AI systems that can power the most relevant applications (whether developed internally or by partner software vendors) will draw in the cash that is needed to keep the development flywheel humming. This cash-fueled competition also helps explain the recent spate of big-tech layoffs.
