Ergon Energy Network’s Post

Teamwork makes the dream work! Thanks to our partners at DOOMADGEE ABORIGINAL SHIRE COUNCIL, civil works at the community’s solar farm site are complete. Joining the Council crew at the site was a wildlife expert, pictured below with a frill neck lizard that was relocated to nearby bushland. Caring for country and cultural heritage is part of our commitment to communities across Queensland. Civil works have paved the way for construction of a new larger solar farm to commence in the dry season. When it’s commissioned, it will further reduce the remote community’s reliance on diesel generation as they draw more than half of their power needs from the sun.
