"Do you trust me?" --Jack's question to Rose in TITANIC (Third in a series) Somewhere in the first week of February of 2004, we threw in the towel of thinking of you strictly as a customer. Since the first Eagle Theater opened then, you have been and will always remain: Friend. Neighbor. Guest. We don't serve a "market." We serve people who live in these and surrounding parts: Robinson and Crawford County, Clinton and DeWitt County, and Streator and LaSalle County. We are quirky, not corporate. Blue jeans, not suits. Movie lovers, not bean counters. A business is never going to be as close to you as family, but you and us have a relationship. We have been there for some of your memories--your child's first film, first dates and anniversaries, proposals, and Girls Night Outs. One of the hard lessons of life is learning that relationships are built on trust and grow when people are vulnerable with one another. We need to grow or die. But I don't want to dwell on the risks to us as a business. This is about YOU and making the theaters a better value. We trust you will take care of us if we take care of you. We've got a plan. Both for ourselves and our industry. Because we trust YOU, we are going to open and transparent. Join us here each day at about 7 p.m. and see what is going on. Comment. Tag. Share. Bring your friends. --Eric Gubelman Next up: How our 2024 Popcorn Bucket is going to surprise and delight you--and make a BIG difference. https://lnkd.in/gcBzpVma
