🔴🇨🇳What if China follows a different strategy❓ 🌐🔗 https://lnkd.in/g7iT5gjx Expecting China to groan, moan, reminisce about past glories, lament endlessly about present sanctions❓ What if China chooses a different strategy instead❓ .
Ken Griffin makes some key observations about China, starting at about 19:30. - structurally a trade war is a huge loss for humanity; - do we want a world with cleaner energy? China leads in EVs, solar, and making a huge investment in nuclear energy; - when we made the decision to deprive China of semiconductors, we were just going to inspire China to double down on R&D...and they did just that and "cracked in code" for new technologies; - China has far more STEM graduates and quoted the Australian Strategic Policy Institute study that China now leads 37 out of 44 important developing technologies; - our (U.S.) focus should be on how we become better in K-12, STEM, etc., and building on long-term competitiveness.
