👀 You’re not seeking to replace the solid foundation you’ve built; you’re seeking to expand on it. And often, it's this willingness to see and welcome our desires for more as natural, rather than as betrayals of our past selves, that ultimately guides us to the next place we need to go. What's the Vibe? Dear Friends and Supporters, This is January’s Monthly. This month shares matters relating to the execution of our mission. "MenLiving is a progressive organization, right?" I was having a Zoom conversation with Jeanne, a thoughtful and engaged MenLiving supporter and donor, when she asked this question. “Do you mean progressive politically?” I responded. “Yes,” she answered. “MenLiving definitely gives off a progressive vibe.” A progressive vibe? Interesting. In these times, when most everything is viewed in a political frame, Jeanne sees us as leaning far left, maybe even “woke” (have we had enough of that?!). I never really think about our vision (a world of healthy, intentional, connected men) or our mission (to create spaces where men can connect, heal, and thrive) as left or right, progressive or conservative. Our spaces are open to all men everywhere, regardless of political affiliation. So, why would Jeanne see us as progressive?
