- Africa Must Unite is a powerful and inspiring idea that has motivated generations of Africans to fight for their liberation and dignity. However, it is also a complex and contested concept that has faced many challenges and criticisms. How has this affected our struggle for development and justice? In this paper, I will explore the historical and contemporary debates around African unity, and suggest that we need to balance our aspirations for solidarity with our respect for pluralism and human rights. - The dream of Africa Must Unite has shaped the political and social movements of Africa for decades. It has given us a sense of identity and purpose, and a vision of a better future. But has it also limited our potential and options? In this article, I will analyze the achievements and failures of this idea, and propose that we need to rethink our approach to African unity, and embrace a more flexible and inclusive model that recognizes our differences and opportunities. To achieve these dreams, we must first help ourselves by developing a powerful brain power. Let’s start over again and again.

If we can transcend partisanship in politics, Africa will shine with pride. Imagine an Africa where equity reigns supreme and community spirit flourishes. A place where supporting one another, regardless of religious or political affiliation, is fundamental. In this united Africa, we will make significant strides, becoming a beacon of unity on the global stage. Embracing our diversity, we'll find strength in peace and unity. I firmly believe in Africa and its vibrant youth. Our continent offers boundless possibilities and opportunities for all. As we celebrate AU Day yesterday, let's not just adorn ourselves in African prints but embody the spirit of unity in our actions and interactions. It's time to move beyond rhetoric and truly embody the ideals of Africa Day. #chestersl #writer #africayouth #iloveafrica #TranscendPartisanship #UnitedAfrica #EquityForAll #CommunitySpirit #StrengthInUnity #AfricaPride #YouthEmpowerment #AUday #CelebrateDiversity #EmbraceUnity #AfricanSpirit #BeyondRhetoric

Happy AU Day.... This day is a reminder of the strength in unity and the collective efforts needed to build a brighter future for Africa. It is a day to celebrate progress, reflect on the journey ahead, and renew commitments to the ideals of peace, unity, and development for all Africans. As we evaluate our progress, the fundamental question arises: are we moving forward or retrogressing as Africa? This inquiry requires a thorough examination of our achievements, setbacks, and the overall trajectory of our efforts. Progress is often measured by advancements in technology, economic growth, social justice, and the well-being of our communities. Conversely, retrogression is marked by stagnation, regression in societal norms, and the deterioration of previously gained advancements. To answer this question, we must analyze key indicators across various sectors, consider the broader context of our development, and reflect on both the quantitative and qualitative aspects of our progress. Only by critically assessing our current state can we determine if we are truly advancing or if we need to recalibrate our strategies to move forward effectively. We have only one African...Enjoy your day

AFRICA DAY ( Formerly known African Freedom Day and African Liberation Day) Africa Day is the annual commemoration of the foundation of the Organisation of African Unity on May 25, 1963. It’s a day to remember how far Africa came from, the resilient fight against colonial masters, etc. Africans within Africa and around the world celebrate this day to remind ourselves of how we can put Africa on the map and compete with the rest of the world. Africa has the potential to conquer. Agenda 2063, The Africa We Want, prioritises inclusive social and economic development, among others, with the main aim of making Africa a dominant player in the global arena. The emergence of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCFTA). AFCFTA aims to enable the free flow of goods and services across the continent and boost the trading position of Africa in the global market. As we celebrate Africa Day, we call on governments and partners to re-energize and implement the agendas of the African Union so that we see a prosperous Africa for Africans. #africaubuntu

This week Africa will commemorate a day dedicated to its freedom, this is in line with the formation of Organization of Africa Unity which later changed its name to African Union. As we prepare for that ceremonial commemorations I want to challenge all Africans and ask how many are aware of the Africa agenda 2063 plan? According to the African Union, agenda 2063 plan is “A shared strategic framework for inclusive growth and sustainable development & a global strategy to optimize the use of Africa’s resources for the benefit of all Africans”. This was launched in 2013 on 50th anniversary of OAU and will be implemented in 5phases with a period of 10 years in each phase. This year phase 2 of the ten year implementation plan covering 2024 to 2033 was launched with expected goals being prosperity, integration, democratic, peace, culture, people driven development and influential. This basically is preparing Africa for the future and its our responsibility as Africans to participate at all levels and not just leaders. Am challenging all Africans to take interest in this and play our part to ensure that these goals are achieved in the next 39 years.

I convey my deep concern over the sudden revocation of the permit for the New Africa Foundation Convention, initially planned at the Black Star Square. The denial of access to this esteemed venue, where crucial discussions on Africa's development were set to take place, raises serious questions about the protection of fundamental freedoms. The cancellation has taken on added significance with Nana Kwame Bediako's revelation as a key figure behind the New Force political movement, emphasizing the importance of the event in unveiling policies and visions for the future of Ghana and Africa. I wish to underscore the profound significance of platforms like the New Africa Foundation Convention, providing a crucial space for dialogue among thought leaders. The presence of distinguished speakers like P.L.O. Lumumba underscores the importance of these discussions on a continental scale. In a personal capacity, I wish the government reconsider its decision and allow the New Africa Foundation Convention to proceed. Such gatherings are not just symbolic but integral to fostering dialogue, exchanging ideas, and propelling Africa forward. #Leaders #FreedomOfAssembly #AfricanDevelopment #Africa #Ghana
