The Erith Group’s Post

We recently hosted Architectural Technology students from Middlesex University at our 54 The Bishops Avenue site. The visit provided an insightful look into the ongoing work and unique challenges of the project. The project includes site establishment, enabling works like piling, and current substructure construction, with superstructure construction to follow. It also involves complex temporary works to retain a fire-damaged structure and a basement propping scheme. The students were warmly welcomed, given an overview by our project manager, and toured the site. They learned about materials, drainage importance, and challenges of adverse weather. The tour concluded with a crane operations demonstration and a discussion on modern construction complexities. "I wasn’t sure what to expect before visiting the construction site, but once I was there, I found it both exciting and fascinating. It was such an amazing learning experience, and I ended up enjoying it far more than I anticipated. I can’t wait to see the project once it’s completed!" – K. Asllanaj (Year 3) “The whole experience was great, we learnt a lot about the construction process and the measures that take place in these sites. I was impressed by the preparation that goes into the site even before the construction begins and the health and safety protocols showed around the site. This visit really helped me to understand the construction process, and will help in the development of future projects. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience.” – B. Palminha (Year 3) We are proud to support the next generation of architectural technologists and look forward to seeing their future contributions to the industry! #Construction #Education #ArchitecturalTechnology #ExperiencetheExceptional #MiddlesexUniversity #SiteVisit #FutureBuilders
