Trunnion valves offer significant advantages in various industrial applications. Their structure is highly rigid along the axis, which prevents any deviation from the seat, ensuring a reliable seal. Additionally, these valves feature self-relieving seats that maintain a consistent seal against the ball, while also accommodating temperature-induced expansions to relieve downstream pressure. The trunnion design effectively disperses lateral loads through the upper and lower bearings, reducing operating torque and minimizing part wear. This translates to a capability of withstanding higher pressures and extending operational lifespan with reduced maintenance costs. Furthermore, trunnion valves are more compact compared to gate valves and come in multiple designs, providing enhanced flexibility in selection to meet specific application requirements. See the successful case study below. Message me for more information. #OilAndGas #PowerPlants #Refinery #Fertilizer #SynGas #Amonia #Hydrogen #Urea #Maleic #Valves Cornerstone Valve #Trunnion
In 1993/94, an FCC catalyst fines separator system manufacturer reached out to Cornerstone for valves capable of withstanding high temperatures and abrasive conditions. The valves produced during that period have since been operating in a North American refinery without requiring any service. Consequently, additional valves were installed across various refineries in both North and South America for fines removal and catalyst recirculation systems. Impressively, none of the trunnion-mounted valves have needed servicing or replacement since their initial installation. #Refining #Sustainability #Valves #HPHT

Do you know the two-event effect of the fault?? As a first stage of spectrum analysis, we need to identify all forcing frequencies in the rotating equipment to detect the nature of fault(s). One of theses frequencies is called Belt Rate Frequency (BRF) and can be observed in the spectrum due to fault or manufacturing defect in the belt. The unexpected pattern appears when 2XBRF is dominant (as shown in below case study) rather than 1XBRF and you can face some ambiguous diagnosis in this case since the value of 2XBRF is not considered in forcing frequencies list. The reason is due to the relation between the belt fault and the existance of two pulleys since the fault strikes the two pulleys in one belt revolution leading to increse 2XBRF Based on this physical phenomenon, you have to consider 2XBRF and its harmonics in your analysis. #vibrationanalysis #conditionmonitoring #predictivemaintenance #reliability #oilandgas #petrochemical #cementindustry #steelindustry

Passive valves, or throttling valves, have a fixed position and do not change their loss coefficient in response to other system changes. Since these passive valves are fixed over a range of system flows, they affect the system curve as they are changed. Learn more at Pump FAQs: https://bit.ly/3XgrFiD
