As Gareth Southgate leaves as England manager. I’m reminded of this quote: "Knowing when to walk away is wisdom. Being able to is courage. Walking away with grace and your head held high, is dignity." Thank you Gareth ❤️🏴

The top 3 things I learnt from spending a week at Dan Pena's castle 1) Have a thick skin, business is tough, people will do you over, call you names and lie about you. Dan Treats his mentees tough to prepare them for this. 2) You can improve your chances of winning against people smarter than you simply by out working them. Dan makes you stay up late watching videos about business while having a few drinks then wants you up bright and early ready to attack the day He does this to replicate life. Most people will lay in and rest the morning after, the winners will get up and attack the day no matter what 3) Leverage others peoples reputations and skillsets. I have done this relentlessly and make sure I only partner with people better than me in my weak areas

Old Joe Medicine Crow. I heard those specific words right as I woke up. I sat straight up because the voice that said them was as real as the room. I rarely have these dreams where the words are so crystal clear, but when I do, I totally pay attention to them. They have a meaning even though it is not always immediately obvious why. Old Joe Medicine Crow. I rather expected to find a band by that name with some one hit wonder song with superb lyrics. ▶︎ Instead, I found the last war chief of the Crow Nation. One only gets to own the ancient and prestigious title of war chief when they are the bravest, the strongest in their tribe. This hallowed title is reserved for those able to prove themselves in combat and accomplishing the four achievements the Crow people believed were the most difficult things a warrior could accomplish. ▶︎ Let's just say, I didn't see that coming. At the time of my dream, he had just turned 100. Old Joe. He lived another two years to the age of 102. ▶︎ Somehow, I knew that he was extra special. And, he was. Most people stop at his being a war chief. But, it wasn't his military prowess and bravery that captured my attention. In extensive research, I found that he was both equally revered among the Native Americans as he was reviled. Why? Because he was willing to collaborate with the enemy, those who had driven tribes away from their homelands. Historicially, the Crow Nation was noted for their work in building communities and in education. He saw that the settlers had additional ideas in the same vein. When his critics saw him integrating some of the White Man's ideas into Crow communities, they came at him hard. ▶︎ His reply? "Take from the best and discard the rest." ❓So, how exactly is the bravest of war chiefs key to your new client acquisition woes? Rainmaking in North America started with the Native Americans and came into business lore through the legal field. We have been blessed with an amazing model for profitable organic growth if we're willing to collaborate. ✅ A Rainmaker is the most important person in a firm as they are able to bring in biggest and most new clients. ✅ Rainmakers exist in any profession.
