Mastering the Art of Filming: Essential Tips for Perfect Lighting

Filming is 20% about aiming a camera. And about 80% meticulous planning. This is from last Saturday, when we filmed some car scenes. 🚙 Without planning, we'd end up with meh-looking video. For this scene we had to: – Do location scouting, to ensure that we nice looking shots, and know where to film at set. – Find out where the sun will be during the time of filming. – Make sure that the production will be safe for everybody involved and that we follow local legislations. – Rent equipment; car, camera gear, generator, car trailer, and so forth. – Find the right people to join us on set. – Find the right extras and making sure they know what to do. – Shotlist, to effectively know every single shot to be filmed during the short time frame. – Call sheet, to make sure everybody knows what happens when. Just for mention a few things. And that's basically just for this one scene.
