I think I’ve said this before: LLMs will become commodities. There will be different flavors and purpose-built models, but utlimately, there will be lots of competition between public endpoints and in-house solutions. No one is going to have a monopoly or totally dominant position. The real value is generated in bringing AI to market. That means nothing much has changed: 1. AI is a normal product, just like most others. 2. Success and failure will be determined by relationships with the customer, product integration, and ability to deliver value to where the customer needs it.

Proactive AI agents will help us before we even know we need help. Running these agents on all day smart glasses will be the next revolution in personal computing. Picture this: You land at an airport late at night. Your smart glasses know you have luggage, a bike, and a hotel. Instead of you manually figuring out how to get there, your smart glasses handle it all automatically in seconds, calling an Uber XL and showing a navigation arrow floating on top of your vision, guiding you to the car outside. This is the future proactive agents on smart glasses will bring. Another type of AI agents on smart glasses: conversation augmentation with Convoscope. It enhances conversations with a council of AI agents that extend your mind by listening and providing useful insights in real-time. These proactive agents work without being asked, making interactions seamless and intuitive. QuestionAnswerer provides answers to questions as soon as they’re asked, IdeaGenerator suggests creative solutions when you need them, and Definer offers clear definitions instantly. Cayden Pierce is making an astute observation about leveraging your context to build proactive agents that attempt to bridge that 10x improvement to your life over switching contexts to your phone for information. AR Glasses with built in agents empower you to maintain your context and work in the background to assist you based on the context you have provide to it. To build upon it, if you can provide the AI agent more forms of contextual input then perhaps it can provide even more value and higher quality responses. For example, object recognition, body language interpretation, vocal tone subtext interpretation, geolocation information, etc. all enhance the AI Agent's awareness of your surrounding context. These can be translated to text inputs possibly included in prompts, gathered automatically by systems on the device. Perhaps in the future specific models that process these input types can specialize and collaborate with the agent that is providing assistance. #arglasses #aiagents #ai
