How often do you make assumptions? We all do, don't we?! Some assumptions are safe (...like assuming assumptions have a high correlation to workplace conflict 💥 ), but they are a slippery slope and can fast track division, and reduce productivity. Seek understanding before you assume knowing. At worst, you'll prove your assumption to be true and at best, you'll learn about a different perspective. #performance #team #teamalignment #productivity #conflict #workplaceconflict

Tugboats can save the day in emergencies.
I like to brag on our folks when they do special things. On the evening of March 26th, the efforts of the crews on our Capt Joseph Bisso, Becky S and Alma S averted a major disaster when they grabbed and flipped around the MV Thunderbird (750' long with 46' draft), which had lost power downbound, barely avoiding slamming into the MV Anglo Marie Louise, which was tied up and loading at Convent Marine Terminal. Great job by our mariners!

"Through the Smoke" has been a monumental project for me, marking our first show greenlit by the city and paving the way for "On the Beat" with Haines City PD. Since launching our YouTube channel in January, the series has garnered nearly 100,000 views, not including the finale. More importantly, we’ve brought the incredible members of the Haines City Fire Department into the homes and hearts of our community, showcasing who they are and what they do. This project was my first major undertaking since leaving the film industry, requiring me to handle everything from setting up shoot dates and planning schedules to managing audio, lighting, and cameras, as well as editing and distribution. At times, it was overwhelming and took away from family time, but it was truly worth it. Now, when a fire truck passes by in Haines City, I hope the community thinks, "I wonder if B-Shift is working?" or "What’s Nate cooking for the crew tonight?" This was a passion project for me, blending my film career with my deep-rooted affinity for public safety, thanks to my family's background in firefighting and law enforcement. It’s been an honor to elevate the department's brand and share their stories with Haines City and beyond. #ThroughTheSmoke #HainesCityFire #PassionProject #PublicSafety #CommunityStories #BehindTheScenes #SeasonFinale #Documentary
In the thrilling season finale of "Through the Smoke," we return to one of the channel's most popular crews, B-Shift at Station 1. Join us for an exclusive, in-depth look at the department's annual extrication training—an essential rescue skill that proved crucial during a recent major vehicle versus semi-truck accident. This episode showcases the team's exceptional skills and unwavering dedication as they respond to a series of high-stakes emergencies, including a major multi-plex fire, a brush fire in a subdevelopment, a pediatric cardiac arrest, and a false alarm at a commercial plant that leads to an important building awareness walkthrough for the crew. Featuring candid and insightful interviews with Lieutenants Michael Ferguson and AJ Aponte, alongside Probationary Firefighters Clifford Stewart and Justin Keene, this episode provides a fascinating glimpse into the lives of our brave first responders and those new to the team. Don't miss this action-packed and heartfelt conclusion to the season, celebrating the resilience, camaraderie, and dedication of the Haines City Fire Department. #HainesCity #HainesCityFire #Firefighting #ThroughTheSmoke #Firefighter #StationLife #Documentary #Docuseries #FireVideos #Training #StructureFire

TOOT Did you know the function and the reasoning behind the “Toot button”? Read below ⬇️
We’ve all been startled by a honk at least once in our lives and as a result, frustrated or misinterpreted honking can lead to accidents, ultimately putting lives at risk. That's why we made the Grenadier with a toot option – secondary to the standard horn, the ‘Toot’ can be employed by Grenadier owners to alert others to their presence, with a softer, more friendly sound. The toot button can also be used as a way of communicating with fellow Grenadier customers – give a toot to say hello as you pass by!
