🔋 💥Are you aware of the fire risks of lithium-ion batteries? “Unlike typical fires, lithium-ion battery fires do not merely flame and burn – they can explode with intense energy pressure waves, making them particularly dangerous.” 🔗 Read our full article on this topic here: https://lnkd.in/dFupsF6y #IgnisFireTesting #LithiumIonBatteries #FireSafety #FireTesting

In light of recent events, the unique challenges of preventing battery storage fires are more crucial than ever. These fires can burn for hours and cause significant damage to your facility and, potentially, personnel. Unlike traditional fires, battery fires can be difficult to prevent and control. Using traditional extinguishing methods such as water can lead to explosions or the release of highly flammable hydrogen gas. Early detection of potential fire risks is crucial. Our LWIR-640 thermal imager offers just that, helping to prevent fires before they start. Don't wait until it's too late: https://lnkd.in/eK9V5ngx #firesafety #energystorage #thermalimaging #batterystorage #thermalrunaway

Lithium ion batteries. Everyone’s talking about them so let’s delve in. The number of fires caused by lithium ion batteries is constantly on the rise. Lets not get into if it was the battery vs the battery charger. We will save that for another day. As fire investigators the remains of these batteries are evidence. However collecting and storing them can be potentially dangerous. As a fire investigator what is your opinion about collecting them and storing them as evidence for the purposes of recovery for your client? Have you considered the potential hazards they represent when storing them post fire? Have you discussed the issues with collecting and storing them with your client? #fireinvestigation #lithiumionbatteries #evidencehandling #forensicscience #recovery #talkingtuesday

Lithium Battery Risks are Real. It is important to store and transport them safely. An effective way to do that is with a DynaLocLTC™. Standing for 'Lithium Transport & Container" it is successful in containing the violent explosions, high-heat fires, and filtering the toxic smoke and gas that make lithium battery events so uniquely catastrophic. If you suspect a battery is damaged, do not leave it inside, and do NOT put it on a charger. Isolate it immediately - in a DynaLocLTC™. UNIQUE FIRE RISKS Lithium-ion battery fires are more dangerous than fires from other battery types because they release a flammable vapor that is toxic and which essentially produces its own fuel, creating a thermal runaway. BATTERY FIRES CANNOT BE TREATED LIKE ANY OTHER FIRE read more: https://lnkd.in/gnWDXUnu
