Seattle University students here are some Career Fair Prep Tips for next week's fair. 🔎Research and Target Companies: ● Identify your interests: Determine the industries and companies that align with your career goals. ● Research companies: Learn about their mission, values, recent news, and open posItions. ● Tailor your approach: Prepare specific questions and talking points for each company you're interested in. 🗣Practice What To Say: ● Craft a concise introduction: Clearly state your name, major, year, and the type of position you're seeking. ● Highlight key skills and experiences: Emphasize your relevant qualifications that make you a strong candidate. ● Practice in advance: Rehearse your elevator pitch to feel confident and natural when delivering it. 💻Prepare Your Resume and Questions: ● Update your resume: Ensure it's error-free, highlights your accomplishments, and is tailored to the specific roles you're targeting. ● Prepare questions: Think of insightful questions to ask employers about their company culture, projects, or career paths. ● Most companies use online applications systems so resumes are not necessary but it doesn't hurt a bring a few copies with you particularly for the target companies you plan to visit. ● Update your profile in Handshake AND make it visible to employers for the days leading up to the fair and at least a couple of weeks after the fair.

Exciting Day at Texas A&M University Career Fair! Yesterday, I had the incredible opportunity to represent our company at the Texas A&M University Career Fair, where we connected with a pool of brilliant and motivated students. As an engineering manager, it was inspiring to see so many talented individuals from the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering departments eager to contribute to the future of construction equipment, product management, and innovation. We had insightful conversations with students who are not just excelling in their academic endeavors, but are also hungry to bring fresh ideas to the industry. It was refreshing to hear their questions about career growth, hands-on project involvement, leadership opportunities, and their genuine interest in cutting-edge technologies. What stood out to me the most was their passion for real-world impact—many are ready to dive into roles in Product Support and Product Management, where they can directly influence product development and customer success. It’s clear that the next generation of engineers is driven by innovation, and they are equipped with the skills and mindset to excel. Thank you to Texas A&M for hosting such a fantastic event. I’m excited about the potential collaborations and looking forward to welcoming some of these exceptional individuals to our team in the near future.
