As much as I would absolutely love to work for The Walt Disney Company in any capacity, I'm quite certain the recruiters and hiring managers would certainly NOT consider me a top applicant for this role. Getting hired on the Super Bowl isn’t luck. But it take a lot of work. There is no shortcut. If you were starting today, here is your path to get there: Start with college sports. -Find who is crewing in your area. Call them. Tell them what you want to do. -Network with the people who are working g those events. Ask them questions, shadow them on a game. -Get your reps in and be patient. Plan on this taking 2-3 years. -if there’s a regional sports network in your area, repeat the same steps above at that level. Many technicians who work the regional networks also work for the National networks. Put in your time here, get the reps. Again 2-3 years. When the time is right, ask someone to refer you to the major sports networks. Talk to as many people as you can, increase your “luck surface area”

Thought. There are some decent job postings out there. But, why do I, as an applicant, have to sign into your site to apply? Why can't there just be a way for the applicant to apply without creating a profile? I mean, what is the point of having another login for another site. Really. Especially if you don't even notify the applicant they were not considered. Is it so you can send junk mail to my email? Seriously, the only company I'm going to keep trying for is the Disney Store. But, the likelihood of that coming back is low to not at all. At least not in the northeast. Seriously, maybe make it a little easier for candidates to apply so you can get awesome employees for your team.

Many companies often refer to their employees as family, but the analogy of a sports team may resonate better in the business world. Viewing company culture through the lens of a sports team is common in sales organizations which I’ve seen over the last 10 years. Each team member plays a crucial role and must deliver results. Some may find their skills better suited elsewhere, while others rise to become MVPs or foundational members. In any job or team, there are highs and lows. It's essential to find a team that values your growth, supports you through life's ups and downs, and appreciates your dedication. By striving to be the best in your role, your team and company will likely reciprocate and take care of you.
