This may be of interest for those who have an interest in the National Student Survey (NSS) - particularly in what is asked and also what the consequences are from this activity.
I have no idea if anyone tendering might be able to use the opportunity to raise issues about what is covered in the NSS; how to ensure staff (particularly minoritised staff) are not harmed by the outcomes of the survey and how it's utilised by institutions; or whether it would be better to abandon this activity completely.
I imagine the tender would be given to those who wish to continue business as usual. But, given the stated objectives from the OfS to address free speech within universities it would be good to use the tendering process to record concerns with the NSS as it stands and to recommend alternative approaches that collect student feedback without leaving anyone out or causing anyone harm.
