Enter #DS2, a fresh project funded by the European Commission, kicking off last week to build Europe's first modular system for connecting different industry data spaces. The goal? Make data sharing across sectors easy, secure, and compliant with EU rules. UK government forms expert panel to lead digital transformation of public services. This flew under the radar a little when announced last week. The newly-formed panel will advise on establishing a government 'digital centre' aimed at enhancing the efficiency of public services via a 10-year vision” for the new digital centre of government. #AccelerateGov 2024 is now underway in Ottawa. This event brings together experts on digital transformation to share insights with Canadian public servants at the Shaw Centre. The conference, which is hosted by Global Government Forum with the Government of Canada, will explore how public servants can best promote digitalization and transformation. Sessions are planned throughout the day on sessions including how to deploy artificial intelligence in the Canadian public service; how to use data to drive better services; and how to build a culture that can drive government transformation. We’ll will also cover indigenous data sovereignty: moving from concept to action; how digital transformation can help build trust in government; and how to coordinate digital transformation across services and teams.
