The JCO plans to begin prototyping specific C-sUAS proposals in 2025, based on the capabilities and needs of combatant commanders. The next C-sUAS demonstration is scheduled for the second and third quarters of fiscal year 2025. Compared to previous demonstrations held between 2021 and 2023, the latest test showed significant improvements in speed and threat recognition by the vendors' systems.

RED SANDS III is the culmination of months of rapid prototyping and continued development building off the earlier exercises. This iteration of RED SANDS includes training, operational demonstrations, and the testing of 15 different systems employing various kinetic and non-kinetic techniques to destroy and disable unmanned aerial systems (UAS), and to counter the ever-growing threat of unmanned aerial systems (UAS). This is the third iteration of the annual exercise.

🌊 Exciting News from the ATLANTIS Coastal Testbed! 🌊 Many field campaigns at the ATLANTIS Coastal Testbed, where cutting-edge technology meets real-world challenges in offshore wind energy, were organized in 2023. They have included many European Institutions developing solutions for O&M namely, INESC TEC and Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, Centre for Robotics and Intelligent Systems (CRIS - UL) from University of Limerick, IQUA ROBOTICS, Universitat de Girona, Exail Technologies, Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha and Fundación Andaluza para el Desarrollo Aeroespacial. https://lnkd.in/dBfHpJzc 🌀 Our experiments have focused on evaluating autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs), autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), and autonomous underwater vehicles (UAVs) in a dynamic marine environment. What a transformation! We’ve come a long way since our first company vehicles. As well as looking the part, our vehicles are essential for development and deployment. Every single radar we build goes through extensive field tests, and when you consider how production has surged, that’s a lot of driving. Historically, we made around 20 radars a year. At the end of 2023 we were producing 4 radars a week. Then there are demonstrations, we did 63 last year, and expect to complete even more in 2024. Augmented reality to help pilots see through smoke. Come see the future of aviation safety at the Business Aviation Safety Summit (BASS) in Austin this week to include Klatt Works, Inc.'s SAVED (Smoke Assured Vision Enhanced Display) demonstrations. When smoke obscures flight deck instruments, SAVED provides a see-through display inside of each pilot's oxygen mask showing camera video with HUD symbology. SAVED is a great example of innovation in augmented reality and will ultimately increase safety of flight across the aviation industry. L2 Aviation is partnered with Klatt Works to provide STCs and quick-to-install solutions on a variety of aircraft types to include Gulfstream Aerospace. The BASS is a forum for the industry to meet in a collaborative environment to identify safety concerns, devise approaches to reduce risk and implement initiatives to improve safety. The summit, in its 69th year, is organized by Flight Safety Foundation in partnership with the National Business Aviation Association.
