"Excellence in Corrosion Management: A Journey of Process Innovation and Recognition" Corrosion is universal, yet its acceptability varies across different contexts, exhibiting zero tolerance in certain settings. The pharmaceutical realm places significant emphasis on the metal content within products, subjecting them to increasingly stringent regulations. While these regulations pose challenges, they also present scientists and engineers with opportunities to innovate and meet compliance standards. The metal content in the pharmaceutical products plays a crucial role in determining their success or failure in the final stages of production, underscoring the importance of meticulous attention. Recently, we had the opportunity to showcase our corrosion management practices and the implementation of home-grown protocols and procedures, along with the opportunity to integrate the cutting-edge technologies. This presentation earned us a prestigious national award from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in the category of Corrosion Management Practices. Undoubtedly, this recognition will drive further advancements in our testing protocols, enhancing our ability to predict residual metal content and other process innovations. It's noteworthy that our team secured this accolade by competing with prominent entities from diverse industries and academia. Novel Lipid Analyses Using FAIMS/Ozone-Induced Dissociation with Transition Metal "Supercharging": https://lnkd.in/g2cpKjue The cationization of lipids by divalent and particularly trivalent metals in ESI (forming multiply-charged ions) broadly improves the FAIMS resolution of structural isomers by up to 10x and accelerates the downstream OzID identification by some 10,000x - making it essentially instant (~1 ms) as with CID. The combined gain takes the IMS/OzID approach to lipidomics to the next level.
