Celebrating coaching graduate, Amy! 🥳
From Certified Leadership Coach through to Associate Certified Coach, your dedication to coaching excellence shines through! 👏
📣 Announcement! 📣
I am thrilled to announce that I am now an ACC (Associate Certified Coach) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF)!
Almost exactly one year ago I received my CLC (Certified Leadership Coach) designation and since then I’ve been accumulating coaching hours, recording and reviewing sessions, studying the ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics, and hoping🤞that it would all be enough.
And it was! After passing my assessment coaching recording last month, I wrote the gruelling 3 hour written exam last week and saw those 4 letters on my results printout:
🌟 PASS 🌟
Thank you to all my amazing friends who gave me their time (some of you sacrificed A LOT of your time), support, and encouragement through this process.
Thank you to all my fellow coaches, especially those who encouraged and inspired me this past year: Hugh Fung, ACC, CLC, Maria Starosta Abrams, MA , Eddie Diaz, MBA, CSEP, MCC, CTA, Graham Snowfield.
And last but not least, thank you to Hellen Yang 杨敏, MCC, CPCC for your guidance, words of wisdom, and all the positive vibes 😊

Always pleasing to receive a recognition like this in the mail.
This is the outcome of the recredentialling process that we all need to go through as executive coaches with International Coaching Federation.
I do love the process that they put us through to guage the following:
a) our learning and development over the years
b) the contributions that we have made to the coaching community
c) the development of our core competencies as an Executive Coach
d) the log-in hrs we have clocked in as part of our professional services to our clients
#standardsofexcellence is not derived simply by enunciating that you have them.. instead it's by
1. working on them consistently one day at a time and demonstrating the same to those with whom you work with.
2. pushing oneself to consistently enhance the service and value being offered.
3. by receiving critical constructive feedback from yr clients and working on the same with the aim of always uplifting oneself.
It's an honour to receive the recredentialling of the Master Certified Coach aka #MCC from #ICF. It must be noted that it's the highest recognition conferred by ICF to their executive coaches.
A note of gratitude to Michael Heah ICF MCC and Cindy Koo for being on this journey with me all those yrs ago.
I will wear this with pride, simply because I have achieved standards that I have set for myself, and with humility, because I have the opportunity to serve others.
Here's to yet another exciting journey ahead.

Hello friends,
In the last few years, "coaching" has been gaining popularity in our country. And as a practicing coach for the last ten years, I couldn't be more happier.
But what disappointed me the most is that, coaching has been greatly misunderstood.
Mainstream consumers of coaching seems to confuse the method as either mentoring, training, or teaching.
We totally understand this because global coaching certifications could cost a lot and may not be accessible to many who would want to coach.
We want to change that.
We want to make learning the right approach to coaching accessible to as many of us here in PH as we can.
We want to be able to lower cost without compromising in the competency, skills and methods of learning.
So, we did a few runs of of our Masterclass in Organizational Leadership Coaching last year and so far, we've been getting raves from our participants.
On July 17-19, we're running it again.
It's a 3-day intensive course for those who want to learn and practice and become a coach as a leader.
Me and my co-facilitators, coaches May Soriano and Fredric Lipio will teach "coaching" that might be different from how you understand "coaching".
What it means is that when you learn how to coach, you are sure that you are giving the right kind of support that will really help the people you are coaching and leading.
Would you be interested to learn the RIGHT coaching and be a Certified Organizational Leadership Coach?

Sarah Short in her post and through the comments of Dr Ruby Campbell MAICD, MScCoachPsych, MBA(Exec), PhD(Sc) attention is draw to respect how coaching governance is promoted. In the comments for Sarah's post, the role of science, especially mind-body science, was emphasised.
For coaching to become a credible profession it needs to be founded on credible scientific evidence as well as aligned human coaching lived experience and models of education that are not solely western centred or sourced.
Science doesn't care which coaching body you belong to or whether you are a coach, advisor, therapist or consultant. It has laws, some of which empirically have been shown to be inviolable and unbreakable like the First Law of Thermodynamics, The Law of Conservation of Energy.
The First Law of Thermodynamics states that energy cannot be created or destroyed; it can only be converted from one form to another. The First Law is used to categorise 'the performance of cyclic conversion systems'. My own cyclic Coaching Enhanced Technology/Coaching Enhanced Technology, CET-TEC, practice is based on this fundamental law of science, on the cyclic management of energy conversion, which don't just apply to the material world but functions equally for our psyche and inner world when using the right frameworks.
The Perennial Coaching Frameworks (PCF's) I work with, many of which come from non-western cultures and through methods that are thousands of years old, existed long before any governing body was set up with their set of competencies to curate some professional structure to coaching.
Don't get in a fuss about which body you belong to, focus on the body of experience and evidence of sciences and methodologies that work whether we believe in them or not.

A Small, Bank Holiday Weekend Rant 😉
I just read something that an ICF PCC coach wrote in response to the question, "What should you do if you're seeking the best leadership coaching?"
The response was (and I'm paraphrasing here) to "choose a few ICF coaches because if they're not ICF coaches, you won't be getting coaching - you'll probably be getting consulting, advising or mentoring".
I run a training organisation with ICF-accredited programmes, but I would never dream of dismissing all the other reputable professional bodies in our world in this way.
EMCC and AC spring to mind immediately, and I have never found a difference in the quality of coach training or coaching between any of these three bodies—or others, including ILM and assorted university-accredited qualifications.
As a profession, we need to be very careful not to put our own professional body on a pedestal, or dismiss others as inferior. There are excellent coaches who are not ICF coaches.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk 😉

This is going to be another brilliant week!
We are welcoming new learners onto our 18th cohort of our Coaching with Purpose programme, how exciting is that?!
It’s always interesting to see why they wish to take their development as a coach/mentor to the next level.
It is going to be a fascinating start to their journey and I love getting to know my delegates. We have a varied mix of experience which allows newbies valuable insight and the more experienced a fresh set of eyes!. So many different conversations to have along the way.
So what is ‘Coaching With Purpose’? It’s a EMCC EQA Accredited programme which provides the foundation in coaching and mentoring. The programme is designed to allow delegates to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to not only coach/mentor effectively, but also to be transformational within their specific industry or audience. it is for either an individual to polish their skills or for people leaders who wish to take a coaching approach with their people.
We also have facilitators who come on who wish to enhance their questioning techniques to get even more great conversations from their sessions.
How do you think you could use coaching skills to empower and enable people in your world?
If you would like to know more about gaining an EMCC accreditation, then do get in touch.
