Last week was Mental Health Awareness Week. During that time, many of us shared the importance of discussing mental health openly and honestly. Last week, I learned that a friend of mine took their own life. This week, while many of us have moved on to new topics, her daughter is still missing a mother, and her friends are still missing a friend. Mental health is not just something to be aware of for one week. It's a continuous and crucial conversation that must be maintained every day. Reach out to those around you. Check in with your friends, family, and colleagues. Sometimes, a simple conversation can make a world of difference to someone who is struggling. Don't wait for a designated week to show you care. Let's make mental health awareness a constant priority.
