Stupidity of Human Being!🥲 Once, a thriving tree provided natural shade and shelter. Now, we’ve replaced it with an umbrella, highlighting how human actions have led to the loss of natural resources. As we seek comfort and convenience, it’s crucial to remember the importance of preserving our environment. Sustainable practices and mindful actions can help us protect and restore the natural world, ensuring a balance between human needs and nature’s gifts. #Sustainability #Environment #Conservation #GreenLiving #ClimateAction

🌍 Week three. One small thing. 🌍 Every week in 2024, I am committed to change one small thing to make a positive impact on people and the planet. I thought this week was going to be a hard one. I thought I would have to talk about the discomfort of challenging tradition. Of the difficulty of habit change. And then I found (with one quick google search) a solution to a sustainable problem that has sat heavy on my heart for years. Each year - most of us - cut down a tree and put it in our living rooms, covered in baubles, to celebrate Christmas. We then discard this gorgeous tree into the road. Maybe it’s recycled, maybe not. It seems absurd when you think about it - in the times we are living in - that we would make this unnecessary sacrifice. 7 million trees hit landfill every year and thousands of pine needles on these trees take a long time to decompose compared to other tree leaves. When they rot, they produce methane gas which is 25 times more potent as a greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide. So how about, this Christmas, you and I (and lots of others) commit to renting a tree? Imagine the impact it would have if we did? If we all come together and make small changes, we CAN make an impact, we CAN be the force for good. So, are you in?
