Heri za Kwanzaa = Happy Kwanzaa Day 2 Kujichagulia - To define ourselves, name ourselves, create for ourselves and speak for ourselves. As I share these words with you each day, I would like for you to take the time and reflect on your lives. Are you being the best person that you can be? Are you being a good example for yourself? Are you a good student of self? Are you being a humble servant to life? It is only when we strive to know ourselves that we can bring peace to those around us. Many will try to define who you are and where you belong. Don't accept any person, institution or organizations idea of who you are, your standing in life or what you are entitled to have. Create a space where you feel secure and comfortable. A place that others would want to be part of. Find your peace. Show us all a better you. Our individuality plays an important part in this life. Make the change in yourself, be the the best example of you to bring out the best in others. #Kwanzaa #kwanzaa2023

As we come together to celebrate the rich and meaningful traditions of Kwanzaa, we want to extend our warmest wishes to all our members and friends who observe this beautiful holiday. Kwanzaa is a time for reflection, unity, and honoring our African heritage, and it holds a special place in our hearts. Kwanzaa, a Swahili word meaning "first fruits of the harvest," reminds us of the importance of community, family, and the principles that guide our lives. It is a time to reflect on the Nguzo Saba, the Seven Principles, which serve as a foundation for personal growth and communal strength. Umoja (Unity): Let us come together as a community, support one another, and work toward common goals. Kujichagulia (Self-Determination): Empower yourselves to define your path and shape your destiny. Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility): Remember that our progress depends on the well-being of our community as a whole. Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics): Support Black-owned businesses and build economic strength within our community. Nia (Purpose): Set goals that align with your values and work tirelessly to achieve them. Kuumba (Creativity): Celebrate and express our culture through art, music, and innovation. Imani (Faith): Have faith in our people, our struggle, and our future. During Kwanzaa, we encourage you to take a moment to reflect on how these principles resonate in your life and how you can incorporate them into your journey. Let us continue to uplift and inspire one another, knowing that together, we can achieve greatness. As we light the kinara and share in the joyous festivities, may your Kwanzaa be filled with love, unity, and the blessings of our ancestors. Happy Kwanzaa, from our family to yours! #humanresources #kwanzaa #blackexcellence #blackprofessionals

🌟 Kwanzaa Day 3: Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility) 🌟 As we step into the third day of Kwanzaa, we embrace Ujima, a principle that stands for Collective Work and Responsibility. Today is about coming together to build and maintain our community, making our brother's and sister's problems our problems, and solving them together. 🤝 Ujima is a call to action. It reminds us that we are stronger together, that our actions impact those around us, and that we have a shared responsibility to uplift our community. 🌱 On this day of Ujima, let's: Engage in community service or support a local initiative. Reach out to help a neighbor or a friend in need. Reflect on how our actions contribute to the collective well-being of our community. 🔥 Today's challenge: Identify a problem in your community and think of ways you can contribute to a solution. Share your skills or knowledge to help others in your community grow. Start a conversation about the importance of collective work and responsibility. 💬 How do you practice Ujima in your daily life? Share your stories and ideas on how we can work together for the betterment of our community. Today starts my 7 days of reflection, Kwanzaa. This is a process that I have incorporated into my life and have shared with many over the years. Kwanzaa follows 7 Principles which celebrates family, community and culture. I meditate on each of these unique daily principles. First, myself, second, my culture, third community. I want to not only make a difference in my life, but all lives that I touch along my journey. It is also a time for forgiveness of yourself and others. However, it doesn't end here. This is the beginning of fulfilling one of lifes simple promises. "Love" Let our differences be our strengths. Let us rejoice in the beauty of humanity. Let us give back into our universe positive energy. Let us leave mother earth better today than yesterday. "Kwanzaa" Each day I will post one of the 7 Principles with it's Swahili word, a simple translation and definition. What began for me as a journey into Blackness has evolved into a journey within humanity I encourage you to read each day and..... Reflect on yourself, Make a difference and Give willingly. #Kwanzaa
