‼️ The oil and gas industry uses wireline logging to obtain a continuous record of a formation's rock properties. #wireline logging can be defined as being "The acquisition and analysis of #geophysical_data performed as a function of well bore depth, together with the provision of related services." The measurements are made referenced to "TAH" — True Along Hole depth. These and the associated analysis can then be used to infer further properties such as hydrocarbon saturation and formation, and to make further drilling and production decisions. PDK Wireline Logging offers various services such as: Open-Hole Services (Petrophysics, Geophysics) and Cased-Hole Services (Well Integrity, Production, Perforation). #petrodanialkish #logging

Exploring the Depths: A Geophysicist's Tale During my tenure as a geophysicist, I undertook a challenging project to model a specific segment of one of our company's fields. The seismic data posed its own set of challenges, making interpretation and modeling a formidable task for reservoir characterization. Despite the hurdles, months of dedicated work allowed me to pinpoint faults and key layers in the subsurface. The study revealed a risky landscape, especially for plans involving not just one well but a cluster of them. The presence of faults signaled potential deviations in reservoir behavior, setting this location apart from its surroundings. Despite the facts and available data, it's surprising that a multibillion-dollar project has been assigned to this high-risk part of the field. In the dynamic world of petroleum engineering, it's crucial to respect engineering facts. This experience underscored a vital principle: neglecting these engineering fundamentals can translate into colossal financial losses. The petroleum industry demands a meticulous approach, where every piece of data is a puzzle piece in the larger picture. #Geophysics #ReservoirModeling #PetroleumIndustry #EngineeringExcellence #RiskManagement
